I ordered the chicken chimichunga to go. When I got home & opened it, they had put the cold lettuce & tomatoes on top of the hot beans & rice. The lettuce was sour and the rest of my meal was not good. I couldn’t eat it & I live aprox 15 miles away so I got stuck with it. When I called to say they shouldn’t put cold stuff on hot food and that the lettuce is sour, the girl on the phone argued with me about it saying they always serve it like that. She said we’ve been in business for 23 yrs and wanted me to feel bad for complaining. I told her I’ve been ordering the exact plate from there for 15 years and never has it been served like that, I told her I don’t want to argue, that I was trying to tell her the lettuce is sour, but she obviously doesn’t care. I wouldn’t give it 1 star but I had to so that I could share with everyone. They’re hateful when you complain and the

Food, drinks and service is outstanding!!! More importantly, I accidentally left my purse in the booth after our last visit. When I called to see if they had it, they were very professional, determined if I was the owner and kept it save for me to pick up today. It was just as I had left it!!! Happened upon this place on a long drive to Arkansas. Greeted promptly and was asked to fill out info for contact tracing. Hand sanitizing stations available at the entrance to clean up.
Placed our orders and headed to the restrooms which were clean and well maintained. The chips and salsa were very good. Had to ask for extra salsa.
Both my wife and I got the Carne Asada plates which comes with rice and beans and grilled onions and a small side of Guac salad. The meat was very good and the grilled onions was a nice topping on it. The refried beans were among the best I have had.
Service was top notch. Always had someone checking in on us and we did not lack for anything. Well run place with a lot of pride.
Nothing to complain. El Vallarta is a hidden gem. If you are in the area, most definitely worth a trip.

Alejandra Illegally and happily denied me service because my service animal did not have a vest on. I even showed her my service animal ID in my wallet and she claimed it needed to have a vest on. I informed her it was illegal and she did it anyways claiming that’s what she was told. I travel the country with my animal and have never been refused service. I’m in law school and will be reaching out to local lawyers to handle the situation.

It was a great meal. It’s not often you go in a restaurant at 2 pm with a large group and receive great food and service. I would have liked to have set in one of their other chairs though. The barrel chairs were difficult to get in and out of.
