From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We’re already looking forward to coming back soon!
Thank you for a fantastic meal and a memorable experience!
We ordered the pesto spaetzle with shrimp, the bone marrow, shrimp gambas, and seared scallops. We finished off with the apple crumble.
The pesto spaetzle was creamy and herby, with the right amount of acidity to cut the richness of the pesto sauce. The pasta that was in it was also delicious as well.
The bone marrow was soooo good! I absolutely loved it! There was a chimichurri served with it and what tasted like a light horseradish jam.
The shrimp gambas was on the richer side of food, but it was cooked perfectly!
The scallops were also seared perfectly and played on top of a creamy creamed spinach sauce.
The apple crumble was just okay. The crumble topping tasted like dried oats that were sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. And the apples just tasted like apples.
If you’re unsure about the type of food (I’m less adventurous than my friends) check the menu a few days before as it does change regularly they say.
Joe and Russell accommodated a group of 25 -30 with a personal approach. The food is beyond excellent! Carrots three ways, spetzle! Omg. The wine selection is creative and fresh.
Joe loves what he does, and it really, really shows.
Please try this place, and you will be taken care of.
Addendum 2/7/24: The pot pie is soooooo delicious! The flavors are perfect and so comforting. I’m also so happy the elected to make it veggie!
We ordered the peach burrata, shrimp cakes, and paella. Each dish was beautifully prepared, but the paella stood out as something truly special, unique and flavorful, with just the right balance of comfort and creativity. It was exactly what we were looking for: elevated without being fussy, rich in flavor, and clearly made with care.
We weren’t in the mood for a stuffy high end restaurant, and The Nook hit the sweet spot, intimate, welcoming, and full of character. A truly memorable night. We’ll definitely be back.
