The way that I “The Foodie” devoured that Sweet potato pie cupcake on my visit to Montgomery from Birmingham on yesterday. The yellow cake portion was so freshly baked but that inside and the cream cheese icing swirl topped with chopped pecans was just enough balance. I have never eaten anything sweet that fast. We visited here yesterday on a quick weekend getaway and made sure this was a stop on our route. We’ve had these cupcakes before and they were amazing. Unfortunately, this time was a complete disappointment. We traveled from MS to AL to get these as a treat, had we known they were dry as a desert, they would have been returned expeditiously! We spent over $100 on cupcakes for our family, but sadly could not share them because they were horrible. And where do I start with the customer service, it was literally nonexistent. We were not greeted, the young lady was unprofessional and seemed as if she was irritated when we asked questions about the cupcakes. The entire experience was unpleasant and a disaster. Needless to say, we will not be visiting again!

The cupcakes are absolutely magnificent. The customer service, not so much. The young lady that took my order acted as if I was a bother to her to wait on. She was taking a phone order while also trying to take my order. I had a couple questions and she was NOT happy about that. Maybe I will try again to see if the service changes. The cupcakes were so moist and flavorful. And such a wonderful variety.

What a sweet treat! Today we had the pleasure of indulging in one of the best dessert spots in Montgomery AND meeting the owner- Mrs. Ida. Without a doubt, each one of these homemade creations are made with love! These cupcakes NEVER disappoint and since no shipping is available, I travel to Alabama from Florida just to indulge. If you want you party/special occasion to be remembered forever- include these cupcakes. ✨ ✨My absolute favorite is the sweet potato cupcake ✨ ✨ !! (Remember they are closed on Sunday and Monday. Mrs. Ida is pretty sweet herself and so gifted. Thank you for all you do.

This was an absolute treat! We LOVED our order – we got one vanilla and one banana pudding. These taste like she had yall over and welcomed into her home and whipped up a fresh cupcake. You’ll not be disappointed!

Things I love: the variety and the diversity of the selections…things that you would never think to be a cupcake …are! However things I don’t like: while they are amazingly good – they are quite heavy (greasy-like). They are not fluffy …but this maybe due to the type of cupcakes that I selected. Nevertheless it is worth giving a try! The banana pudding, peach cobbler and butter pecan were all pretty delicious and pricing is avg (roughly $2.50 per cupcake). Oh and the frosting – I would buy again!
Update 2021: Still heavy (greasy); but it is definitely an acquired taste for some. While back home for Thanksgiving, I visited them to grab some cupcakes for our holiday dinner. The clerk working the front, attitude was so nasty! It was noticed by all of the patrons. When acquiring about the availability of certain flavors, her response was “I don’t know” ! Is that how JoZettie operates?! No ma’am! Certainly not when there is another cupcake business blocks over. Customer service is key and clearly they missed the mark that day! Needless to say, I did not purchase any cupcakes. They really need to speak to their employees about the 101’s of customer service.
