This is our favorite Mexican restaurant The food is always consistently good, and we keep coming back for the Chicken Bandera, Carne Asada, and Fish Tacos all full of flavor and perfectly cooked every time.

The margaritas are also excellent and really complete the experience. A place we always enjoy and confidently recommend

Recommendation, try the GAUCHO CHICKEN, ask for the Jim Bowie sauce on side and sub the regular rice w. jambalaya rice. Phenomenal combo.

Always busy on the weekends, nice family oriented restaurant. Kid friendly

What a fun place, it has selections for Mexican, New Orleans style, and bbq. Our waitress was great as well. Enjoyed the jambalaya and blackened chicken.
Lots of seats and space inside. Free parking lot.

Nice large restaurant right off the highway.
We went for lunch and were seated right away.
Their chips/salsa were pretty good and we had to get more chips. They were the thin, really crispy ones that I love.
The guacamole was pretty good too, but could have used a tad of salt and lime.
I ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas. It came with all the fixings and rice/beans. I tried the rice/beans and didnt like either one of them. They didn’t even taste Spanish or Mexican and it was hard to describe. It makes sense since the restaurant has both Mexican and Cajun inspired food.
The shrimp was sweet which was not quite what I would want in a fajita. The chicken was dry and the grilled onions/peppers had a seasoning that was also not very Mexican/Spanish. I wasn’t too happy with any of it, but it wasn’t terrible. Just not quite what I had wanted.
The server was nice and she came by to give us more chips but it would have been nice if she asked if we needed refills on drinks.
Overall it was not a bad lunch and if we visit again I would definitely try something else.

While they’re possibly not as good as prior to Covid, and maybe not as good as the Woodbridge location, this place is still relatively affordable with good food. The carne asada Jim Bowie style and Orleans Fish are excellent choices. In the warmer months you can even sit outside, which is recommended, as inside is always quite loud. Parking is never an issue.

As a vegetarian I was so pleasantly surprised to see so many veggie options. I was also happy with the prices of the food and drinks! I had the veggie jambalaya and it was delicious. Full of veggies with tons of flavor! Many restaurants cannot make good vegetarian food, so I had to leave a review to say that this restaurant can and does!

This place is soooooooo good. My man was working nearby and after smelling it a bunch of times we went inside and it was packed! Everything is intensely flavored . In a good way but if you don’t like bold flavor this isn’t for you…. Even the sides are made with love

We got mixed fajitas for two , salmon Caesar, gumbo, quesadilla , rice and beans and fries

We had so much left over we had literally no complaints . The white rice is possible similar to a minute rice (par boiled) but since the flavor so good on everything … who really cares !!

The gumbo was sooo good we ordered an extra at the table but that wasn’t even enough , my man ordered some to go . Fire

Good food, wouldnt say great, blackened chicken was little too salty, after few bites you cnt keep eating with that salty taste. It requires sauce for sure beans and rice were great. Again Enchiladas require sauce if not inside outside, but mine was just straight up dry, with very less pollo, visited the place on recommendation and we were quiet disappointed. Last but not least waited for our bill for more than 20 min. And he brought wrong bill even then.
Its good not best .. just awesome crowded always

A place with a cool Mexican vibe and delicious food. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, but the venue is large and can accommodate many people, so we didn’t have to wait for a table despite the dining room being almost full. It’s worth noting that we came in a group of 7, so seating us wasn’t easy, yet they found a spot. The kids received a children’s menu that also served as a coloring book, and they were given crayons. We received efficient service. The longest wait was for the drinks, as they were served relatively slowly, but this is understandable given the number of guests inside. The margarita, especially the spicy one, is very tasty and highly recommended. We ordered chicken fajitas and beef with sides. Everything was delicious and worth recommending. The only comment and reservation is about the fries for the children, which arrived burnt and the kids didn’t like them and didn’t want to eat them. However, they praised the breaded chicken. The beef tacos for children, like the fries, did not receive recognition from the youngest ones. What I missed was live Mexican music. I think it could be a nice addition to the atmosphere of the place. A big minus for the lack of phone payment options. We are in the 21st century, and unfortunately, technological backwardness still exists in many places in the USA, which is particularly troublesome for younger generations and tourists. Perhaps this comment will encourage the owners to invest in payment terminals, which I’m keeping my fingers crossed for.
