We are here years ago and it was fine , but this time When we walked in the place smelled kind of like mildew. We ordered our food and my wife got scrambled eggs and they had a bad flavor . It’s like they cooked them in the same pan or oil as something else and the eggs absorbed the flavor . They were not Edible . We won’t be back . There are to many places to eat around to settle for this place . I’ve read the other reviews too about the bugs but not until after we went . We didn’t see anything like that but it’s gross if it was true .

I loved this restaurant, because it was cool and quiet, with an awesome 80s vibe. After sensory overload the entire vacation, it was wonderful to come here and enjoy the peace. There was an extensive breakfast menu with great prices! Our service was very good, and the food was excellent. There was live entertainment while we ate breakfast! We definitely will be back next time we go to Garden City!

We love this place for its cool pink retro vibe and woodwork–it seems like the kind of place the Golden Girls or Designing Women would have visited 🙂 Very clean and bright; good value; good quality food and nice portions; sweet service. The benedicts are really good, and my daughter loves the chocolate chip and strawberry pancakes with a cup of hot chocolate. I’m looking forward to trying the pineapple coconut pancakes next time. This is consistently a fun place to kick off a day at the beach.

Old stable breakfast restaurant with all the options you could want. Our server, Marcia, was absolutely fantastic. She was energetic and very friendly. Food was hot, seasoned and very good. This is one of our favorite places to eat for breakfast.

Local pancake house family owned and operated since 1988. Looking at the interior this is very clear with the dated padded booths, chair and tables and decor. Even the sign out front has seen it’s better days. Usually menu of breakfast and lunch comfort food made from scratch, cooked to order. My Breakfast Bowl was one of the daily specials. Reasonable price with a good portion of diced home fries, chucks of sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese, peppers, and smothered with a thick, peppery gravy. Good flavor and amount of ingredients got me enjoying my meal. Krystal was friendly and brought our food promptly. This is a pay-as-you-leave establishment, so don’t wait to have your bill paid at your table. Note the wood plague “Please Pay Here” hanging up front. I never understand why servers don’t reiterate this. Customers are left to wait and wonder, then to scan the room and ponder. With bill in hand you slow to rise, seeing the sign to pay up front you realize. With a sheepish grin you pay for the food, out the door all is good.

We have gathered as a family in Garden City Beach every Christmas and Summer for the last 4 years. At the end of our family vacations, we descend on GCPH ( party of 18) amd have one last meal together before we travel out operate ways. This family owned and run business takes great care of our family.

I ordered an order of bacon &4.50. only got two small half pieces of bacon. See picture. My eggs had a hair in them.
Positive note they replaced the eggs with extra eggs.
The staff was very nice, but the food quality and value for the money was horrible. I would not recommend this place.

Where do I begin. Today my wife and I ate at this establishment, and I have to say it has to be one of the worst restaurants in the Murrells Inlet/Myrtle Beach area to dine at. The Server (waitress), though pleasant misrepresented the items on the menu and had to check frequently with the staff on what ingredients are used in our meal due to dietary/allergy restrictions. The server also informed us there was “NO” up/additional charge for what we ordered, specifically French fries, in place of hash browns. I ordered the Reuben sandwich which came with 2 small, flat dried pieces of corned beef and little sauerkraut. My wife ordered a three-egg mushroom and feta cheese omelet. The egg was dry and lacking consistency. The mushrooms were out of a can. Her hash browns were cold and hard. The waitress said she would replace them with French fries at “no extra cost.” The bill came and we were charged $28.42, a $4.50 extra charge for the French fries. In breaking down the bill our true order was $22.75, plus 8% sales tax ($24.12) we had a $9.00 local coupon which should have brought the bill to $15.12. My wife went to the front counter and was approached by a very rude and older disheveled male, wearing what appeared to colorful pajama pants. He said there is always a up charge for the French fries, even though she told him the waitress said, “NO EXTRA CHARGE.” With that said he was given a $50 bill and would only return $25. My wife argued with him, and he provided her with another three additional dollars for a total of $28.00 cash returned. We should have received $34.88 not $28.00. He refused to address the issue or provide us with monies owed to us. As we were leaving, I politely asked him what his name was, and he refused to provide it. He did not want to address the issue of the bill or how much was returned in cash. I informed him that I come from a large family of restaurant owners some in the same area and I myself had worked as an assistant chef for a large restaurant chain and he should have been more courtesy and understanding of our bill, the food, and the waitress’ misrepresentation of the food items. My overall take on this restaurant is the food is awful, over-cooked and dry, small portions, overpriced for what you pay and “theft of money.” As locals we will never return to this restaurant and will make sure the community is aware.

Good hardy breakfast. Crispy bacon , fluffy pancakes and buttery toast. Only thing that needed improvement was I ask for cheese on my eggs, the eggs were warm at best and the shredded cheese the put on top would not melt. I would have presto have the cheese cooked into the scrambled eggs. Service was good , staff was friendly and restaurant was clean.
