Original review: What an unexpected gem of Weed, CA! Curry King is an Indian restaurant, with an extensive menu of Indian dishes. And that’s not all! They also have a small menu of Mexican food (tacos, burritos, enchilada, and more), a breakfast menu (breakfast burritos), and American food (burgers, fries, fried chicken).
The butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and chicken coconut curry were all delicious. Very flavorful, very fresh, served in cute dishes. The medium spice level is still fairly mild, and they have a no-spice option as well. The rice was fluffy and soft. The naan was clearly freshly baked and the perfect crispiness. The mango lassi was fantastic—rich mango flavor but not too sweet.
The server was really friendly and recommended specialty dishes and was attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is a bit understated and should not be taken as an indicator of the quality of the food.
The prices are reasonable, too, for the quality and variety of food.
On top of all that, the restaurant is connected to a liquor store, so you can grab a case of beers for the road after a delicious meal.
Will be back soon to try the Mexican and American food. Intrigued by the “Indian-style burger” and the Indian/American style friend chicken.
If you’re passing through, visiting, or local, this is a great choice. Highly recommend!
FEB 8, 2026 UPDATE
Ordered delivery and mostly from the Mexican food part of the menu. Delivery arrived with missing and incomplete items. The food tastes like someone described Mexican food to a cook who had never had any, and then gave them limited/canned ingredients to cook with. Maybe not surprising from a restaurant called Curry King. Cannot recommend the chicken and beef enchiladas, birria tacos, or burritos.
My recommendation for diners: stick to the Indian food—and perhaps the restaurant should do the same.
That said, the food was delicious! There are several vegan options to choose from in every category on the menu.
I enjoyed the roasted eggplant dish, Baingan Bharti. Also enjoyed the Potato Pakora appetizer.
The food was delicious and will definitely return for more!
If they drop prices, I might give it a try.
