I wanna start by saying how the staff here is EXTREMELY friendly, and the cashier that is new is exceptional at her job! They could not improve on their customer service. However I am only giving them two stars because of how unbelievably FILTHY this place was. The entire staff needs a talking to about cleanliness! This was one of the dirtiest diners I’ve ever been to. There was food all over the place, the floors are covered in trash, the trash cans were full, The tables hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and on top of all of that there was milk sitting out on the counter for over an hour in plain view!
I think the staff that was here tonight, Saturday, September 29, 2018, need to be reminded of the dangers of a dirty kitchen. Whoever was in charge of the restaurant tonight should be reevaluated as maintaining their position. I’ve worked in the food industry my entire life and I have never seen a kitchen that disgusting! honestly if I owned this restaurant the whole place would’ve been shut down all of the milk needs thrown away because there is no way to know what was left out and what was kept in the refrigerator. And everything would be scrubbed down!

As for the food, Hotdogs are well priced, good quality, the onion rings are fantastic, the chili cheese dog is decent, we are big fans of beans but it was OK, but the cheeseburgers were unbelievably overpriced. I can get the same size cheeseburger at McDonald’s for a dollar. In a meal it would only cost me at most four bucks, but instead I paid almost 8 dollars for a meal with a dinky tiny cheeseburger . Everything else was exceptional, the only thing that was overpriced was the cheeseburger.

So overall the food was decent, worth returning for, the service was excellent definitely worth returning for, but the restaurant was so filthy I would never step foot in this place again.

This is not a national chain restaurant, but the food is nationally supplied fast food. I was very excited to try this small town restaurant. But got let down. Once I receive my order I knew my food was prepackaged nationally supplied ingredients. My sweet potatoe fries (which were extra) were crinkle fries that come frozen and then served warm. The onion rings on the burger also tasted like they came from a plastic bag. Many “small town” burger joints seem to be getting all their ingredients from the big suppliers thus making the food all taste the same. I miss the days where a local burger restaurant tasted very different from the next, but those days are rare. So if you are looking for small town taste this is not it.
BUT the staff was friendly. The shake was VERY good. And the burgers were mhh. I am not saying this restaurant is bad, I’m saying it is unoriginal. Which is unfortunate.

I always go to Js when I visit Morgan. When I lived here, I went all the time. The burgers are great, the fries are great, and the shakes are awesome.

The staff here are always friendly and efficient. The prices are low for what you get, so it’s a great deal.

Absolutely loved my double cheeseburger. The soft bun, juicy patties and sauce were spot on. Super fresh and a major step above typical fast food. The kids grilled cheese sandwich was also a hit. We’ll definitely be back for more (and to try a shake or two)

So far we’ve only tried shakes, but they’ve been good enough that we stop off in Morgan every time we pass. The cookie dough shake has wads of dough big enough to make a cookie with! We have had to wait a long time when we’ve gone, but it’s great!

My surf and turf burger (breaded shrimp and burger) was delicious. The pumpkin shake was fun (nutmeg and whipped cream on top), but I was surprised I didn’t want to eat the whole thing. The inside is really nice! I want to try more food.

The chili cheese dogs came in a plastic bag with the chili on the bottom of the bag. So I basically had two hot dogs. Yes they were busy but there is no excuse for just throwing food around like that. The banana split on the other hand was to die for. It was very big and really good. I would go back for another banana split but I certainly wouldn’t go back for the food.

Look. Steph’s, J’s, whatever you call this greasy spoon hamburger joint, is all about the Tangee. The tables will likely not be the cleanest, the staff might be singing and dancing in the back instead of taking your order, and you won’t even see Tangees on the menu, but none of that matters. This place exists to create beautiful, tasty, nostalgia-filled sherbet ice cream cones called Tangees. Come for the food if you need to. Stay for the Tangees. This local staple was, is, and forever will be about the Tangee. And they… they are delicious.

This was a great place to stop in during our Ragnar. The service was great even with it being crazy busy. The food was top-shelf, quickly prepared, and not too expensive.

The staff is always polite, helpful, and the food is fresh and tasty. The service is a little slow, but that is the sacrifice you make for fresh cooked, and never reheated food.
