My second time here since the change of new ownership and it’s just so, so good! This time I was more adventurous and tried the weekly special “Frutti de Mare” and it did not disappoint! Such a generous portion, fresh tasting sea food and amazing with the white wine sauce! My husband got the “Diavola Jalapeño” pizza, every topping was perfect and the crust-perfection! The staff was attentive and so sweet! Highly recommend this restaurant whether you’re dining in or eating out!

In Denver for training, I let my phone pick my dinner spot. Ignazio’s, with a 4.8 rating, seemed like a safe bet. Spoiler: it’s a 5+ star place! Not a huge Italian fan and an odd eater as I let Nancy, the owner and my waitress, choose my meal. She asked about allergies, and I said, “Nope, I’ll eat anything!” Her son, who was leaving, overheard the dish she picked out for me and said, “I ate that dish for two months straight!” Intrigued, I was ready to dive in.

Nancy brought out Rustica, a penne with a rosé sauce, chicken and sausage that was out of this world. After the first bite, I was in flavor heaven. (I was ready to eat it for 2 months straight as well, but it’s her signature dish…. And I live in Utah….. so if you live here, I’m jelly)
Nancy checked in, chatting for 15 minutes, making me feel at home while dining solo. She’s a gem, turning Ignazio’s into a cozy, welcoming spot.

Side notes:
– listening to her interact with her staff is awesome. I would personally love to work for someone who treats their staff as she does.
– She went out of her way to speak to everyone as they came in or as they were leaving. It wasn’t a forced, fake manager, coming up to your table and asking you how your visit was. She sincerely was connecting with everyone.
– as mentioned above, it really does go a long way as a single dine in person to have a staff member come over and make conversation. Thank you for that.

10/10 all around. Incredible food, service, and atmosphere at a comfortable price. We will be back very soon! This photo was our appetizer (10/10 calamari) as well as the complimentary garlic knots!

My husband and I ate at Ignacio’s last night with another couple. This was a first visit for all of us. We received a prompt and friendly greeting and it continued with great service. We shared an Arancini which we all enjoyed. I had Osso Buco which was very tender and tasty. The others had veal piccata and chicken piccata and they were all very pleased. For dessert We had Flourless cake, tiramisu and lemoncello cake. They were all excellent and we tasted each others desserts. Nancy, the owner came over and introduced herself and she was charming.
Side note: The restroom was spotless and smelled very fresh.
The cleanest, neatest restaurant restroom I’ve seen in a while!

We were all glad that we had made a reservation because the restaurant quickly filled up, and we all said we will be going back!

Went to Ignazio’s after seeing 4.8 stars on here, and they absolutely lived up to it. They were so welcoming and accommodating. We loved the ambiance thanks to the colors and the music, we just wanted to get lunch but it felt like a date. The service was excellent too. Sam was so sweet (see stuffed bear and rose!). We didn’t have to wait long for the food – not that we minded anyway because it was to die for. The crab stuffed mushrooms were so unique, it paired so nice with the arugula. I wish we could taste it again for the first time lol. For mains, I ordered the Rustica pasta, but asked to replace the penne with fettuccine, and I have no regrets. It was creamy and fresh at the same time, such a good flavor profile with generous portions. My husband got gnocchi pesto with meatballs, which was so rich and hearty. We ordered a slice of tiramisu to-go, but we ended up eating it there with a cup of the best espresso I’ve had in a while. Overall, it was an amazing dining experience! I’m afraid this is our go-to Italian restaurant now 🙂

One of the best meals that I’ve ever had. Veal Ossobuco. 10/10. So tender and full of flavor. The host, Sam even gave my wife a beautiful journal to record our future travels. Ignazio’s Kitchen is incredible.

We went for a quick bite and tried a pasta pizza and appetizer. The pizzas do take 30+ minutes, so be aware of the time you want to use dining. For the appetizer, we ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms per the owners advance as we were debating between that and the calamari which he said can be a “bit rubbery” and the mushrooms would be better choice. They came out right before the pasta and pizza. We were hoping the appetizer would have come out quicker so we could have enjoyed it rather than everything at once. The pasta had a great flavor profile with plenty of chicken and sausage. However, we feel the best item by far was the pizza! The crust was spectacular and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back and ordering pizza and try a dessert next time. Overall, the food makes up for the environment and service.

After spending the day at Maroon Bells, I was really craving Italian food, so when we got back into town I searched the reviews for somewhere new to try. With a 4.9-star rating, I was pretty excited about this place — unfortunately, that excitement didn’t last long.

When we arrived there was a cute little table outside, but since it was warm out I assumed we’d eat inside. The moment we stepped through the door, though, the heat was stifling — definitely not a comfortable dining environment — so we turned around and opted for the outdoor table instead.

The owner (I don’t think his name was Ignazio, though I can’t recall exactly) brought us water and made some recommendations. I had been craving a good lemon chicken piccata, so I ordered that. My boyfriend ordered manicotti (I believe — writing this a month later, so I may be slightly off there).

Sadly, something about the food just tasted off. Neither of us finished our meals, and neither wanted to take the leftovers home, which should tell you everything you need to know. While we were eating, another couple came in, took one step inside, noticed how hot it was, looked at us sitting outside, and immediately left — so clearly we weren’t the only ones bothered by the atmosphere. If the AC had gone out unexpectedly, that’s understandable — but the owner didn’t act like that was the issue.

Bottom line: the food wasn’t good, the atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the prices were on the high side. I won’t be back.

Salvatore treats you like you are at his house. Half of the experience was visiting with Salvatore. It is an unpretentious restaurant, reminiscent of old-school, mom & pop restaurant, with traditional home-cooked dishes. It is the proverbial Hole in the Wall place. My Veal Saltimbocca was exceptional! The garlic rolls are fresh out of the oven. I would come just to fill up on these. So happy we stumbled upon this place. We will be back

This was such a nice dinner/experience. We were greeted and seated immediately. There is plenty to choose from. We had the lasagna and penne rustica. Both were 10/10 for the flavor and portions. We were given delicious bread knots and I was gifted a beautiful rose! I didn’t get our servers name but he was so friendly, entertaining and made us laugh. The ambiance here really makes you feel like you’ve stepped into Italy with the music, the decor and authentic flavors. Can’t wait to come back soon. Sorry about the pictures but we couldn’t wait to dig in first.
