Pretty good food second time trying it. I tried their octopus grilled I’m so thankful it was chopped especially for delivery. There wasn’t any fava that was mentioned in the dish that was deceptive. I enjoyed their mousakka and cakes there’s an orange honey cake and chocolate honey. No real complaints just was hoping to try with the fava beans on that octopus meal.

After reading all the great reviews we decided to try a new restaurant for our special anniversary.
Called and made a reservation which was not needed on the Thursday evening we visited. The place was half empty.
We ordered the dolmathes, and a salad for appetizers to share. Asked the server if the salad was large enough for the 2 of us and she assured us it was. Salad came out barely enough for 1 let alone 2. The rice filled dolmathes were cold and right from a can. Not homemade!
Fried calamarias a 3rd appetizer we ordered was so rubbery it was like chewing on rubber bands.
The 2 entrees, Mousaka, and roasted chicken with potatoes and string beans was as if they were prepared weeks before and were flash heated in a microwave.
When we asked about dessert, baklava, galatoboureko, kataifi, or loucoumathes, we were told they only had baklava, karithopita, or an orange honey cake.
The server did bring the orange cake that was ordered on the house for our anniversary celebration.
Hopefully, it was just a bad night for the restaurant and not how they serve their food on a regular basis.
I guess I was expecting better since I grew up in a Greek home with great homemade food by my late Mama.
In closing, we traveled an hour to the restaurant from Sykesville, MD.
Very disappointed is an understatement.

I hate to dwell on national stereotypes here, but the food took 4ever! We waited for 30 minutes for the food to get here, so long I had to give my kids some snacks.
But the food is pretty good.

I had more negative feelings after lunch here than positive ones. 1) the food was quite tasty and the wait was short 2) the outdoor area and inside the restaurant were quite clean 3) the tables outside to the right of the entrance were without umbrellas, it started to rain a little and we had nothing to cover ourselves with. 4) the shrimp were not served completely peeled, it was inconvenient to do this because of the sauce. 5) the water served to us tasted disgusting, apparently it was from the tap. 6) all the drinks were served at once, without confirming this. my beer became warm while I was waiting for the shrimp. 7) my dish was tasty 8) the steak was dry and lacked salt.9) 4 different menu pretty hard to find something. They should make book designed menu .

I came here with my mom while she was visiting from out of town, and we absolutely loved the experience! From the moment we arrived, the server was incredibly attentive and welcoming, which made the meal feel extra special.
The food was amazing! The pork chops were cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the grape leaves were some of the best we’ve had. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and you can really tell a lot of care goes into the dishes.
This was such a great experience and I would 100% come back again. Highly recommend!

Today is my mom’s birthday, so we came here to celebrate. Kathia N was our server. She warmly and thoroughly introduced the dishes to us. The food was very delicious, and we all loved it. We will definitely come again next time.

Ela Mesa may be my new favorite restaurant in MoCo. I love Greek food and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere is pleasant, bright, airy and clean. I could sit for hours. The service is top-notch, our wItress Joint was friendly, attentive and helpful with recommendations. There is a large variety of options on the menu. A lighter, more casual lunch menu and a delicious dinner menu that is available all day. We had the lamb shank and sea bass and it’s some of the freshest, most authentic food I’ve had in a while. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. Good size portions and the staff is friendly and professional. The lamb was amazing. Get it medium rare and thank me later. The avgolemono was very flavorful. I will definitely be back! =^)
