My wife loved it, which says everything!
While I’m personally happy with Taco Bell, she is almost never impressed with restaurants. Nearly every time we go out to eat, she laments – we should have just stayed at home. I searched all of McAllen for a place that was organic and appeared to take a lot of pride in their food. My wife says I succeeded! Of what we had her absolute favorite were the organic mushrooms that came with the Oaxaca cheese and freshly made organic corn tortillas. She also liked her chile relleno and creme brulee. You can tell Frida’s takes a lot of pride in each and every ingredient.
Service was also excellent. The server loved working at a restaurant that was obsessed with quality and presentation. You could tell he also loved food and creating a nice experience.
Atmosphere was nice, but this place is for food lovers more than ambiance lovers.

great presentation, resturant is hidden behind the bar. drinks were good and way more upscale than we thought. try the sampler appetizer
