What a surprise! We drove right past this gem hidden behind all the gas pumps! We both had the Big Daddy Burrito. So good! I could only eat half of mine. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. We bought a jar of sweet pickles on the way out. There are several other things id like to try here. Both on the menu and jarred. There are tables inside and out. Our food was up quickly, and the guy in the kitchen that got me a to go box was also very friendly.

I’m bought the two meat with two sides meal. The small portion was not worth the money. First of all, it has absolutely no flavor or taste. It is completely and utterly bland! You most definitely have to use the barbecue sauce. It literally had three small pieces of brisket and three small pieces of turkey. The brisket has so much fat and the turkey taste almost like deli meat. The baked beans are not what I would call baked beans. It taste like pork and beans from a can, and the macaroni and cheese taste like it was from the box. And the worst of it all, there was hair in my food! If I weren’t headed to work, I probably would’ve given it back! I will never return to Stanley James!

I’m not sure what the mix up is……I want a Cowboy bowl with bacon instead of sausage. Either they charge me $4 extra bc they cant understand their own system or just don’t care. Today I ordered a Cowboy bowl with bacon instead of sausage…..got a clear bowl with a burrito and no wrap???? I give up… I’m speaking slowly and loud enough and this was my 3rd attempt at ordering the exact same thing. I guess it’s too difficult.

Best Potato Salad EVER!! Literally made me cry because it tasted like my grandma’s. Pulled pork so flavorful, fries are perfect. Service is great. You HAVE to try this place. Prices are great too.

Absolutely love the briskets and they’re baked beans. They have all kinds of delicious foods here not to mention all kinds of sauces pickled eggs all kinds of stuff this is not your ordinary gas station The breakfast is here are made fresh for you and the barbecue is to die for it

Colette was seriously so kind when she helped me!! I got the pulled pork sandwich and their smoked turkey per her recommendation, and by god, both were amazing. She gave me all the right recommendations and also personally helped me with getting the food packed right for transporting with me.
The food itself was delicious. The pulled pork had a great flavor, and the turkey was really good – it was full of flavor and wasn’t dry at all, which is always the challenge with cooking it!

Love this place, easy stop within a gas station, welcoming and enjoyable. Incredible brisket so. List and flavorful and decadent delicious burnt ends. Sweet tangy slaw and great sauce. What a treat! Delivery is consistently great quality too.

We saw an ad about a Smoked Philly Dog at this location and decided to go give it a try. I dont eat hot dogs but was excited to try the brisket, burnt ends and pulled pork. We drove to this location and had to circle around twice before noticing it was part of the gas station. Going in, the inside was really nice. I liked that I could order my food and buy drinks from the gas station part and pay at one time.
The food was so good. My husband’s Philly dog looked just like the picture and he thoroughly enjoyed it. My food was good. I felt the meat was a little dry and I had no choice but to use sauce. The flavor was still good just a little dry.
We enjoyed eating here and will probably be back, even if it is only to try another version of their hot dogs!

Hey… I just walked in this place and my life changed forever. The atmosphere is awesome makes you stop an think. The food smell is phenomenal I almost died of hunger I just had to get something. I ordered some loaded cheese fries. Ok.. I didn’t expect to get the most delicious meal I’ve ever had in my life. It’s so good. Look at that picture. My taste buds were tickled by the crisp delicious flavors. Man i paid for it all and give them.this review. It’s not enough. I have a mandatory sized meal of food here but I want more. And it was mine minutes after I ordered it too. Crazy. Like you. Your crazy if you havnt been here. They are such awesome people. This is gonna a be every trip. I’m just gonna be fat now idc.

I wasn’t sure what to make of this place at first glance. The sign appeared legit, but it was located inside a gas station convince store. Next to a liquor store.
The question remained: Was the food legit? As I glanced through the menu. It became difficult to decide what to try first. Everything sounded delicious. I opted for the Big Daddy burger, and it didn’t disappoint. It was, in fact, LEGIT!
I need to find more excuses to go to Lawrence, or they need to open a location near me.
