I stopped in just to grab something. It was quiet. It had a whole vibe to it like welcoming almost I drove my food back to York, PA and first off the smell was just torturing me the whole way back home and as soon as I get in here. I ate my food and it was delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked. My fried shrimp was made fresh 10 out of 10 for me. I’m so glad I stopped by.

When I first went in I had to wait awhile to place my order. The person that took my order told me 15 mins so I said ok k will be back. Came back at exactly 15 and was told it wasn’t done and that it wasn’t 15 mins. There was only one person cooking in the kitchen. There were two other people ahead of me. I asked how much longer and was told idk maybe 15 mins. I sat in my car and waited as I was in my car I saw people going in and out with food. Including those that came in after me. So I waited and went back in and when I went in had to wait another 5 mins and the person yelled, here’s your food and walked away. First time I have ever felt uncomfortable at a restaurant being Caucasian, EVER out of being in a lot of places all my life. Idk what it was but I pray it was just them having a “bad day”?? The food was just ok. The Mac and cheese was cheesy but lacked flavor. The collards were a 9/10. They had good flavor but needed some heat like crushed peppers or hot sauce. The wings were the flats or drums. They had a crispy outside and were seasoned well. However, there was a couple that had the hairs still on them, and some were very fatty. I would suggest getting a better quality chicken wings and cleaning them. Food was a 6/10 and service was 2/10. I was really hoping to have a place to goto and disappointed from my experience.

We literally just picked up our food, First off the address is WRONG !! secondly , theres a child who takes the orders, the man who cooks the food was rude trying to go back and fourth with me because i wanted to CHECK MY FOOD BEFORE I PAID! He tried to compare it to mcdondals and say “You pay before you get your food there” Sir this is not mcdonald’s!??? He made slick side comments before going to the back to prepare the food. Then we got 12 wings. The child proceeds to hand me two sauces not even the size mcdondals sauces and he wasnt going to charge me until i asked for two more…Never returning.
Update: I have food poisoning, strongly believe be tamperes with the food…

Nobody greeted us , and i didnt have am attitude with anyone until my intelligence was INSULTED for wanting to check my food. The fried fish, yams, collard greens for the family of four was VERY DELICIOUS. The food reminds of down home-Belgrade, North Carolina. Finally, found a fish place that’s REAL to da taste.

I really tried to like this place. The first time I came here. The food was amazing. The chicken is a little bland, but it was tolerable. The second time I came here. My food was extremely cold. It looked cold and as a person of color I like to have hot food and flavorful food Waited 30 to 45 minutes just for one meal just for it to be cold very disappointing third time I came here. Chicken was just tasting like pure chicken. If you know what I mean mac & cheese was extremely cold and they almost forgot my drink. I had to remind them.

I was dispatched to the spot to take care of an oven repair, and while I was there I grabbed an order of wings with the slap sauce. They honestly surprised me in the best way. They came out hot, juicy, and loaded with flavor, the kind of wings you can smell before they even hit the table. Every bite was solid, not dried out, not bland, just done right. I’d tell anybody to give them a shot. If you’re on the fence about trying this place, take my word for it and go. It’s absolutely worth it.

This place is amazing, definitely soulful for sure. Everything was perfect and seasoned like big mama’s kitchen. I was surprised how everything was on point. And don’t get me started on the portions. I’m not usually big on leftovers, but I ate my food for three days until it was done. It’s so cute inside. It’s a vibe for-sure.

10/16 Upon entering this evening, I was greeted. However, The young lady was eating from a bag of chips and utilizing her cellphone and even paying attention to her cellular while I was attempting to order. Also, I prayed she washed her hands BEFORE she handled food/utensils because she was dipping her fingers into that chip bag. I factually know, a restaurant worker is NOT supposed to eat while handling food in a establishment that serves food. They must utilize a break area to eat, store their food and wash their hands before returning to the work station.
#1 The decor is very nice, but I’m confused with the gaming machines(not for money payout) inside and LOUD television – they have 2 tv’s- one facing the kitchen( which is NOT a good choice) and the other facing the dining area. Is this a hangout spot or a sit-down restaurant to have a relaxing meal?
#2 I had vegetables only – potatoe salad was bland – no seasoning, potatoes were cut too large, no mustard, no relish, no celery, no paprika. The yams were WATERY – no flavor other than sugar and maybe hint of vanilla?, the greens were bland, no seasonings – only tasted the heat(maybe hot sauce?)
The price was good for the vegetable container size.

I called and placed my order the person who took my order over the phone sounded high and nonchalant, said it would take 45 minutes. Got there and was informed some items were unavailable. Staff at register was inattentive with Beats head phones on and playing on her phone and a FaceTime call. I ended up waiting an additional 15 minutes for my food I ordered nearly an hour ago only get sick from the food a few hours later….
