Can’t wait to go back! The Tomahawk was
SO good. Sides were great…I also enjoyed the charcuterie board, And I also tried the Surf & Turf from a friend. I will definitely be back. I met the Chef and had to compliment him on how well the Tomhawk was cooked. Smokey, grilled, fatty, juicy… YUM YUM GIVE ME SOME!

Bend is stop 4 of our vacation. We didn’t have dinner plans and found Blacksmith online. The reservations were full but they were able to squeeze my husband and me in with only a few minute wait, thankfully!

Great atmosphere. It has an upscale feel without the pretentious staff and uncomfortable experience of some high-end restaurants. Everyone we spoke to was incredibly friendly.

My husband really enjoyed his drinks from the bar. He had the Steak and Seafood plate and raved about it. I had the Bacon Bleu Filet and OMG- I think it was the best steak I have ever had. So buttery smooth and juicy. I’ll be dreaming about that sauce for a while. I hope I can find a replica when we get back to Texas. The crème brûlée was also amazing!!

It IS a little in the pricey side, but very much worth it for a special night here and there. HIGHLY recommend!!

I use a more defined rating as I believe there is a very large difference between a 4 and 5 star rating! Similar to magnitude when rating an earthquake. Overall Blacksmith rates a 4.2 star experience, a good experience overall with some room for improvement. The Blacksmith it appears has built the menu to highlight steaks within an Irish pub-like ambiance, cozy to degree. I sat at a high table for two. Comfortable enough with fairly close proximity to other tables in this area (smaller parties of 2.)

The meal started with a Cesar salad, accompanied by three cheese curd, fried on side and softer inside and a cheese infused thin biscuit of sorts. These were more pleasant to view than on palate. Minimal taste, however, they added a bit of crunch to an othwise over-saturated salad. I ate 55% of this mediocre presentation. Less dressing with a side of dressing perhaps and fresher salad would make a positive difference? The old fashion drink was very good, quality bourbon (Buffalo Trace) a nice presentation. The main course the Northwest Ribeye was cooked to order, medium rare with a large portion of garlic mashed potatoes. Only one bite of steak couldn’t be chewed, gristle. The au juice/Demi glaze, was dark without a dominant taste. Could be room for improvement here? Potatoes were a bit overwhelming in quantity and the texture was too smooth. Some pieces would add required texture and make them more palatable.

I arrived when they opened so the service was good not impacted by multiple tables and ordered first or nearly. I was disappointed overall as the aesethics really do lend the positive basis for a better meal. The bathroom was clean enough and stocked with the appropriate supplies. KH

The last time I had dinner at The Blacksmith—or what used to occupy their building—was probably for a high school formal dance, which was more than a minute ago to say the least. My wife made reservations for a pre‑Valentine’s date night, and I’m so glad she did.
We both ordered steaks: she chose the ribeye, and I lucked out with the end‑cut prime rib. Both were cooked absolutely perfectly, and the side dishes were just as impressive. And the presentation? Just WOW—beautifully done and far beyond what we expected.
We also tried a few of their specialty cocktails, each crafted with precision and full of flavor. As amazing as the food and drinks were, the service somehow managed to top both. Our waitress was fun, witty, and incredibly informative. Unfortunately, after two outstanding cocktails and the realities of getting older, I can’t recall her name—but she was fantastic.
This restaurant is an absolute must‑try for both locals and visitors. My deepest apologies for taking so long to return. What a wonderful date night!

This place is amazing! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the wait…. reservations were at 8pm. We didn’t get our food until 9:30

Drinks were delightful and creative. Wonderful wine selection. Food was delicious and filling with a great presentation

We will be back soon. Maybe 5 stars if the wait lessens

Very cozy atmosphere. A lot of non alcoholic beverage choices which is amazing! The menu is diverse and everything looked very good. We got the salmon, which was the best salmon I’ve had in a long time. We also got the teres major and it was delicious. Would get that again. Tuna poke for an appetizer that was phenomenal and the brownie for dessert and it was incredible. I will 100% be back here.

This place has a reputation as being one of the best dinner houses in Bend OR. Our food and service was a 10! Derrick was our server. He had everything under control plus a great sense of humor. Really really happy with Derrick. You might think it costs too much….this place is worth it. For a serial occasion I highly recommend it.
For food we ate steaks for dinner and cream brulee for dessert. Very tasty.

Food was outstanding. Cocktails were super tasty. The 4roses ginger was my favorite we got to laugh, play, eat, and enjoy. Most inviting. Thank you all very much.

Very poor. Had reservations for six, meeting friends from out of town. Got seated in the bar and the hostess decided pushing three high top plastic round tables together was sufficient. Made our evening very disjointed. The bartender was our server. She was clearly unhappy and annoyed we got seated there. She kept having to walk out from the bar for our service. Now the food. Ordered the tomahawk, poor quality of meat and the cook was poor. Ribeyes were over sauced and under seasoned. These were not quality cuts of meat. Had an evening at Rancher Butcher Chef the previous night. RBC was fantastic.

We have been a fan of Blasksmith a long time. Recently we stopped in and had the pleasure of dining under the new manager (Brooke). She was fantastic and super involved. The food was outrageous good. We had a trout special and a steak and fries to die for. The bread pudding (made to order from scratch) was likely some of the best I’ve ever had. Really great local spot and the place was packed and food was rocking. So glad to have this place a few mins from home. Can’t wait to come back.
