31 years strong and Jyoti is still doing it right. Everything here is made fresh to order and fully customizable—from spice level to dietary needs—which is rare and genuinely appreciated.

Spice levels range from mild (no heat) all the way to extra extra extra hot with green chilies, so everyone can eat comfortably or go bold if that’s your thing.

They’re extremely dairy- and lactose-free friendly. Even creamy dishes like chicken tikka masala can be made with coconut cream, without sacrificing flavor.

Drinks are thoughtfully done too—the Laake 3 Pegg (Indian Summer), top-shelf Long Island with a pineapple-mango twist, and masala soda were all solid picks.

Jyoti truly welcomes everyone: halal meats, vegan options, lactose-free, gluten-free (with breads available), Jain-friendly, keto-friendly, and a nut-aware kitchen (just be sure to inform them—cashew dishes are prepared separately).

There’s also a fun fusion element to the menu. Pizzas can be customized with any sauce, protein, and toppings. Loaded fries can be made vegetarian with paneer, and they even offer dairy-free roti dough bread.

Their weekday lunch buffet (Tuesday–Friday) is impressive: live dosas, chole bhature, fried rice, a chaat station with pani puri, soups, rotating vegetarian and chicken dishes, desserts, tea—and sodas included.

A longtime favorite in Wayne for a reason—consistent, accommodating, and full of flavor.

5/5 stars! We had an amazing experience at Jyoti’s! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. But the real star of the show was the food – every single dish we tried was absolutely delicious! The variety and flavors of the Indian cuisine buffet were impressive, and we left feeling satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience!

We recently hosted a party at Joyti Restaurant, and I must say, it was the perfect venue for our function! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it an excellent choice for gatherings.

The food was outstanding. We started with a selection of appetizers, including Hakka noodles, chili chicken, pakoras, chicken tikka, and kabobs—every dish was delicious and well-prepared. For the main course, we enjoyed the Chicken Makati, vegetables, and lamb Karahi, which were simply exquisite.

What impressed me the most was the management’s cooperative attitude. They were attentive and accommodating, ensuring everything went smoothly throughout the event.

I highly recommend Joyti Restaurant for any event. You won’t be disappointed!

The elderly man that served us didn’t say hello even when we initiated friendly conversation he just ignored us or was very short. He treated other people next to us who were not of color very nicely ,pleasant and chatty. I was truly heartbroken to have been made to feel they didn’t appreciate us. Their daughter was very nice to us the first time we were there about a year ago. But after this terrible experience we will never go back there again.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ordered a la carte during lunch, a chicken vindaloo, chicken Tikka Masalla, garlic Naan, sweet, salty and mango Lassi, all delicious. I enjoyed the salty Lassi so much and let the staff know, they sent me home with an extra one at no charge, very kind!

First of all, I would like to start with people in there. They were welcoming, accommodative, very patient, and very nice. Inside ambiance is really very good. It’s not too dark or too right. Just right enough. Tables and chairs are clean. Went in with the idea of lunch buffet, but there are only 4 veg items. Way too less compared to other places. Probably, they had 2 non-veg items.
Next food. The order was delivered pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the quality is not something I could boast about. The mixed veg pakoda was not even warm, and on top, it was charred. See the pic (half eaten). Rest can be seen in the other pic. Technically, it should be golden brown, but this was very dark brown to black. Ordered chili paneer and Gobi manchurian. Manchurian was kind of half baked. I could feel it to be still kind of eating batter and not Gobi. Chili paneer was OK, but a lot of big onion pieces. Chat papdi was the only one that was good.
Entree, paneer masala was very good. Butter nan was soft and nice. Dal and jeera rice were also good. Veg biryani was ok. It was not great tasting, but it was not bad either. Manageable. I think we had too many appetizers, so probably biryani felt ok. But the texture was good, unlike I see in a lot of restaurants where it will be soggy and you don’t like eating.
Drinks were sherli Temple, which was good, and mango mint non alcoholic mohito was ok. Both had a very strong flavor of something artificial, which produced some medicine taste.
But otherwise, we enjoyed the entrees. We have been to many parties in this restaurant and food was always good. If your requirement is more of an entree and not much appetizers, this would be a good place. It is a family owned business, and I have high regard to the family for serving the Indian community from such a long time.

I had such an amazing experience. From service and food to even parking, this place is one of the best and absolutely worth a trip. I cannot praise our hostess/waitress enough, she was so fun, funny accommodating and helpful. She explained everything perfectly and made such great jokes. I will absolutely come here again. It’s definitely new favorite of mine.

Cannot comment on the lunch buffet since I’ve never had it, but dinner has always been very good. Family run establishment where they make the food fresh and to order. Extensive menu with lots of options, including lots of vegetarian options, as well as chicken, lamb, seafood and goat. I’ve always been a fan of Indian food and this is one of the better places in the area to get it. Attentive service, nice ambiance and a liquor license adds to it.
