We came for an early dinner. This is a great bar and grill. Its a place the locals come too. Would be a good location to catch a college football game. It has a full bar which is always a please. Relaxed environment. We stopped by for a couple burgers and they were hella good. Couple of great burgers, definitely will be back to this place. If your in the area have want a decent bar and grill, you owe it to yourself to give this place a try

I went with a group and ordered a burger and it was given to someone else to go order apparently and I never got my food. After they brought the receipt a hour in to our meal I let them know that I never got my food they proceeded to make me a to go order and apologies. But proceeded to hand me a receipt for full price. After mentioning that I was surprised they didn’t comp anything considering that give my order to the wrong person, and I sat there for an hour with no food. As everybody else got to eat. They then comped me my drink and knocked $3 off my burger. I left with my Togo burger I didn’t get to eat that I will now have to drive hour home before I get to eat or try to eat it as I drive. The food was good and everyone else was very happy with there orders. But I’m definitely leaving disappointed after the long wait just to have to wait even longer to eat.

Just a nice place to get real food. My “Go-to ” for fresh food. Fast service with food fixed in real time. no warm-up!! Fine Ice Tea and cold beer even on tap.. Price is very reasonable..

A bit of a redneck place but very comfy and friendly Music and the sounds of pool being played at the back wall . Check their web page for Open Mic Night or when they have live entertainment.

Two photos showing the wings as I get them, “fries” or “rings” ..

I had heard and knew about Locos Grill & Pub growing up in Gainesville, but I’ve never been to or tried their food until recently. I went with a friend for lunch and ordered a French Dip sandwich and Bayou burger both with fries. From the outside, you initially would not think that it was a bar & grill until you go inside and everything hits you from the sports memorabilia, the sounds of pool balls hitting each other and the large moose head in the corner. It was the middle of the lunch hour so the place was busy. We waited about 20 minutes until someone asked if our order was taken yet. We said not yet, and the person went ahead and took our order for us. Our food came out after about the same amount of time. The Bayou burger was cooked medium well as I ordered with perfectly grilled onions and special sauce blending together to create an amazing taste. My friend’s French dip sandwich was also good and our fries were cooked well with a soft interior and crispy exterior. Despite the longer than average wait time, I was still impressed with the quality of the food and could start to see how this unassuming restaurant had made a name for itself in this city. Would love to come again possibly on a game day.

I walked into Locos Grill & Pub on a Saturday evening thinking I’d grab a bite and maybe catch a game — but I ended up staying longer than planned. Right away, the vibe hit me: a cozy, laid-back pub-meets-diner feel, with plenty of TVs, a roomy bar area, and enough booths for groups or casual hangouts. It doesn’t feel pretentious at all — just honest wood, friendly energy, and the kind of spot where you feel welcome no matter whether you’re alone, with friends, or with family.

We started with some appetizers while we waited for the main dishes — fried pickles and chips with queso, just enough salt and crisp to make a good first impression. Then came the mains: I tried a burger with crispy fries, and my friend got the Cuban-style sandwich. Both were solid: generous portions, well seasoned, and filling. The burger hit the spot, juicy and straightforward, and the sandwich felt a little different — satisfying in that pub-food comfort way. There were also wings flying around and nachos coming to tables nearby, so even if you’re not looking for anything fancy, there’s plenty to choose from.

What really made the night worthwhile was the atmosphere. With people chatting, a few laughs over pool tables or bar games in the back, and the hum of TVs or maybe music, it felt like being part of something — a typical night out where food, drinks, and good company converge. The staff were friendly and easygoing: no rushing us, just a helpful smile when we asked about menu specials or drink suggestions. It felt like they knew locals, but were cool with newcomers too.

If I had to name drawbacks: on busy nights it gets a little noisy, and sometimes things come out a bit slower than you’d hope — but for a place like this, that feels almost expected. Honestly, even those minor things don’t detract much from the overall vibe.

Bottom line: Locos Grill & Pub is exactly the kind of neighborhood pub-restaurant that works — nothing fancy, but satisfying, welcoming and fun. Great food, solid portions, decent drinks, and a cozy, no-pressure atmosphere. I’d visit again — especially when I just want comfort, good company, and a laidback evening out.

My wife and I wanted to try something new around the Gainesville area and we had not been to Locos yet because they are in what we consider the “forgotten” side of Gainesville

The location is very spacious with plenty fo seating areas. I’ve heard it van get loud but we were there for lunch with no one playing at the corner stage so we had no issues carrying a conversation. Our waitress was extremely nice and timely with everything, could not have asked for a better waitress. The food actually took us by surprise… way better than we expected!! My wife had the CALIFORNIA CLUB (smoked turkey, bacon, ranch, spinach, tomatoes and fresh avocados) and I had their CHIPOTLE RANCH WRAP (fried chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and Chipotle ranch on a tortilla wrap) and both were very fresh and tasty!!! My wrap was very flavorful and paired up very well with the tator tots. My wife’s French fries were well fried as well. The side of Mc&cheese was because we needed to see if they had OK mc&cheese and it was OK, goof texture with a good creaminess to it, just needs more flavor. We also ordered their FRIED CHEESE which were good but the best part was the fact that the tomato sauce they come with was tasty and good to eat with.

Very happy with our visit here.

The waitress was very helpful and nice. It can be loud depending on large parties, time of day and game day. Everything was so good! The tots are nice and crispy. They do have a kids menu on a coloring page that comes with crayons.

Food and service is always good, but like in other areas of gainesville, and because that building is so old, the water has a horrible taste. Bottled water shortlist be offered at a reasonable price.
