TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Very generous portion, super crisp & fresh. Loved it.
The staff working were extremely nice and helpful. I had no idea they would give us service, but the lady was so sweet and came by our table and asked if we needed anything else. Asked for more Dave’s sauce & she hooked us up.

**Dave’s Hot Chicken Review – First-Time Visit: Solid Food + Outstanding Service**
I finally tried Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time and walked away really impressed. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I’ll definitely be going back.
The food was solidly good. I got the chicken tenders with fries and a couple of their sauces. The chicken was juicy with a great crispy coating, and the fries were fresh and well-seasoned. The sauces had nice flavor and weren’t just heat for heat’s sake. What I loved most was the wide range of heat levels—they actually give you real options from mild all the way up to “Reaper,” so you can pick exactly what you’re in the mood for without gambling.
But what really stood out was the customer service. Every single employee I interacted with went out of their way to greet me, check if I had everything I needed, and make sure my visit was great. They were genuinely friendly and respectful—the kind of service you notice and remember. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the order came out fast even though it was fairly busy.
Clean store, quick service, good food, and exceptional hospitality. Dave’s Hot Chicken nailed it on my first visit. Highly recommend, especially if you value great service as much as the food – I’ll be back soon!

I recently tried Dave’s Chicken and had mixed impressions. The spicy chicken itself had a strong Indian spice flavor, which was actually pretty interesting and flavorful. However, the chicken nuggets were disappointing they had black spots on them and looked old, which was off-putting.
The vanilla shake was overpriced at $7.99 and basically just vanilla ice cream with M&Ms felt like a bit of a scam. On top of that, the meal combos don’t even come with a drink, which is unusual and disappointing. The condiment options are extremely limited; all they have is their Dave’s Chicken sauce, honey, or ketchup. No honey mustard, ranch, BBQ, or anything else.
That said, the customer service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive it’s just too bad the food didn’t match their quality.
Overall, while the place looks cool and it was worth trying once, I probably wouldn’t come back. Some elements were enjoyable, but the high prices, limited options, and questionable quality of some items make it hard to recommend.

Did a pick up order, convenient pickup area. I’ve been wanting to try Dave’s and it was worth it. We got the 2 sliders and fries and they were tasty. Big tendies, nice bun, crispy fries. Got the medium level it wasn’t that hot really, will get hot next time.

I got the regular size Buffalo Mac & Cheese and let me tell you it was disappointing
First thing I noticed was 75% of it was FRENCH FRIES, I thought I had the wrong order at first!
Second thing is, ironically enough, the french fries ended up being BETTER than the mac!
The mac was not seasoned at all and the cheese was bland. The fries had seasoning!
Third thing is the chicken was solid. I got the Hot spice level and it was, indeed, hot.
The ratio of fries to chicken heavily favors the fries
The portion size was good though. Almost 12 bucks (after tax) for the regular size. It’s not too bad but

This was our first time having Dave’s Hot Chicken and I definitely understand the hype! The food is fresh and tastes great. We got tenders, sliders and fries and were stuffed. The chicken tenders are the size of a chicken breast! I was very impressed by how engaged the staff. They were very pleasant and helped us decide what to order to have a good introduction to the Dave’s hot chicken experience. We will definitely be returning!

Been here at least 5 times and the quality and service has been on point each time ! Highly recommend. I prefer the light mild option for the spices. Mild and above gets messy with the spices on your fingers …. We tried the mozzarella stick and it was insanely good. Can’t wait til it hits the menu … That with a tender in the sandwich will be amazing.
The fruit pebbles strawberry vanilla half and half shake is a must get as well.
Staff is always friendly and patient. Food always fresh and hot. Price point is good compared to other fast food joints and comes with a higher quality product .
