Fantastic place! Very reasonable prices excellent homemade pasta and pizza. Happy hour is very good. Service was tremendous! Would recommend the pesto chicken pizza, the cavatelli vodka rustica was outstanding! And the chicken Parmesan, the chicken was excellent wished it would have been on some homemade fettuccine instead of plain old spaghetti noodles. Maybe ask for that? Bread with olive oil dip was nice and served with the meal. We will be back! Closed on Mondays. Happy hour every day 4-6pm

Been wanting to try this place for awhile now and honestly it was a bit of a letdown. I will say the drinks and the service were great but the food just didnt meet my expectations. The pizza was extremely salty espescially the dough they use. We had the pesto chicken and most of all the toppings were dumped towards the center instead of being evenly distributed and the pesto was packed along the crust. We sat outside which was nice for a summer evening however I like the idea of the street patio better than being crammed up against the side of the building they should just eliminate those tables all together for more space and enjoyment.

The food was excellent. I had the caesar salad and the dressing was perfectly salty and tangy. The rigatoni bolognes was al-dente and piping hot, which is key to any good meat sauce pasta dish!

Update March 2026: stopped by for happy hour and dinner on my birthday. We ordered the autumn pizza and baked scampi off the happy hour menu. The autumn pizza was pretty good but not too special, and the scampi dish was tasty but small.
We also ordered the pork gnocchi dish off the dinner menu. Overall it was very good (a bit salty for me but my girlfriend loved it).
The waitress offered any dessert for free, so we went with the tiramisu, which of course was delicious.
Stopped by for happy hour on a Saturday and had a great experience. They have a ton of options at fairly reasonable prices.
We tried the butternut squash arancini and funghi pizza, both of which were delicious. The free bread that they give you also was super tasty.
Favorite drink was the basilico, though the house pinot grigio was also great. I wasn’t as much of a fan of the sangria di cristo, but it wasn’t bad.

Ryan, our waiter went above and beyond for our birthday celebration last night. You guys are so lucky to have him working there. We always enjoy our meals more when he waits on us!!! Everything was perfect .

The appetizers and desserts get 5 stars! The entrees are delicious, too, but I’ve had better homemade pasta elsewhere. I’ll keep coming back for the wonderful atmosphere, top notch service, and great food!

Zucca is about as authentic as it gets in Louisville. Make sure you get reservations though! I didn’t and was stuck in a wind storm (by my own choice, not the fault of the waiters) but the waiters tried everything to keep me and my family warm while making me laugh. After we moved in, the atmosphere was great. The food was very good (get the brussel sprouts!) but, based on what I got as a vegetarian, I would probably come back for other food. I would love to try different food here! The staff is great people who really do care.

Mixed reviews of this restaurant in my party. The waiter was great. The happy hour selections were very good (try the olives with lemon zest), though it would have been good to have silverware with them so you can share at a table. The entrees were salty. Most were good anyway. The environment is quite nice and the sound level was low enough that we could have a conversation across the table.

Everything for our evening at Zucca went wonderfully. We had a great time they let us stay late. The food was excellent. The beverages were fantastic and I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. I have been here many times, and I will continue to return as it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the Louisville area.

First time at Zucca, 5/26/24. My experience was above expectations. Beautiful scenery and staff. I love the outdoor seating area. Nina is a great waitress. Will definitely be coming back to visit again.
