This place is the epitome of down home hamburger joint. The food is on point! The hotdogs are red (Brightleaf, as they should be) the burgers are fresh and delicious, and that fried bologna sandwich just hits the spot. But the star of the show… pickle fries!! Do not stop here without trying these pickle fries! This is the place for good honest food at prices that won’t break the bank. We stop in at least once a week, and I wouldn’t be upset if that changed to twice a week!

We have been going by this place for about 12 yrs and never stopped in. Saw a bunch of Google reviews and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! We will definitely be back. We both had a cheeseburger combo, one with fries, the other onion rings. Everything was spot on. Generous portion of fries (which were really good!) normal serving of onion rings. Hamburgers were very good and the buns were nice and soft with plenty of cheese on the burger. It was very clean inside and everyone was super nice. You could tell they were glad for your business. Would recommend you give it a try.

Update: Cannot get enough of the chuckwagon and burgers. Great place for bite. One of the few places to get a chuckwagon sandwich. It was very good. Crispy onion rings made with real onions. The fried okra crunchy outside and tender inside. The haven burger was great with hot fresh fries. They have ice cream too for a sweet spot. Reminds me of the grill I grew up with. Visited today with friends. Craving a chuckwagon. Still excellent. Got fried okra today for a side. Definitely worth the small upcharge. Hot, crispy outside and tender inside. Three of us ate the chuckwagon and one had the cheeseburger. Cooked perfectly. Fresh hot delicious. Fries hot and fresh from the fryer. The fries were also crispy on the outside and tender inside. The lemonade is perfect. I fixed an Arnold Palmer (1/2 tea, 1/2 lemonade). Just wish I lived closer.

Stopped in while passing through on the highway and didn’t (never) want to eat fast food but needed something fast. This is more than a hamburger and hot dog place. One couple was eating spaghetti and others were having broccoli cheese bites. My burger was obviously hand made and the toppings were fresh. Fries were good and plenty of them. It came out as fast or faster than a chain place but with a nice smile delivering it. Lots of drink choices and ice cream too! I will definitely come back, hopefully with the family. It’s a somewhat small place but there is indoor and outdoor seating and they also serve to-go.

I have never had french fries that were so crisp. This restaurant offers the best french fries you can find. Always cooked in fresh oil always delicious. Worth ordering ahead of time. This haven burger is so hot and juicy and messy in the best ways, they know what their doing.
