This place had really excellent food. Not as wide a variety as south, but hit the spot and there was no bougie line. Love the seating options, good place for large party or family style dinner. Fried chicken was solid, catfish also good. Mac and cheese had a unique flavor, and DO NOT miss that cornbread. It came as a kind of pancake and was sooo delicious. Definitely would come again!

I was sent here “indirectly” by @DariusCooks! I was blessed to meet Ms Tori herself! The gumbo for two was reasonably priced and utterly delicious! I also ordered collard greens and candy yams, amazing! But what blew us away was the hot water cornbread, my God my God my God!!! We’re planning to go there next month for my birthday I hope I can wait that long!

Stopped in for lunch after finding the restaurant on search. As soon as walked in I knew it would be good food. Had the gumbo and collard greens and both were great. Service was friendly and fast would definitely return next time I’m in the area.

I’ve been to this place a few times i usually always get the red snapper and prawns which is delicious only down fall is for all the they give you one small tartar sauce. So disappointing. Now as for there gumbo has great flavor no shrimp just hella shrimp tales in there. I think I’m cool off of Tori’s for now

Tori a sister at the front of the house was amazing. The food was unfortunately not the best. The sides were horrible… yams/sweet potatoes were watered down and the consistency of soup no flavor. Mac and cheese only hade cheese on top and was not good at all and bland. The greens watered and no seasoning and wasn’t completely done. The peace cobbler was not the definition of a peach cobbler.
The fried fish was okay. Gumbo was the best part. Cornbread was good. Definitely have to do better at the sides because it made our experience horrible.

Food was delicious! My favorite is the corn pancake and gumbo.
The corn pancake has some crisp, crunchy edges that were so good. So buttery and has a subtle sweetness. Better than the cornbread. Don’t get me wrong, the cornbread was really good too, but I prefer the corn pancake.
The gumbo…. so hearty, with a little bit of heat, but nothing too spicy. Lots of meat (shrimp, chicken), and veggies and rice.
It’s a park and walk kind of place. Need to get out and order. They take card and cash. Super nice and friendly owners/workers.

The owner , the daughter and the FOOD AMAZING !! Red snapper, catfish, prawns , hot water cornbread, greens , yams , Mac and cheese!! EVERYTHING PHENOMENAL… The owner was the only cook .. PURE LOVE FOR THIS ESTABLISHMENT.. Food was so good , didn’t take a picture. Will get you a picture later . Lol … COME HERE ASAP..

From the outside looking in, you wouldn’t think much about going to this place BUTTTTTT lookie-here, their food is delicious. Me and my friends truly enjoyed it! That hot water cornbread sealed the deal! Definitely a hidden gem!

The food could have been great if everything wasn’t spicy. I have never had spicy potato salad. It taste like they poured jalapeno juice in every thing.. the greens, potatoes salad, smothered pork chops. I can’t eat spicy nor do u see anything advertising that it all would be spicy

I’ve heard great things about this place, and it did not disappoint. I tried staying away from a familiar entree, so I went with the Red Snapper, and definitely can’t go without man ‘n cheese. The gumbo was also great over rice! I don’t eat cornbread that often, but I found it interesting and cute that it was in the shape of a pancake, a little greasy, but that’s what makes it good, right? Be advised, they do not have a public restroom.
