I walked in and the restaurant was pretty big inside with lots of seating and it was nicelt decorated. The host sat me right away and gave me a menu. I did have to ask for water though but that’s okay because there were only two people working from what I could see and there were a lot of take out orders coming in.
Initially, I asked for a small bowl of sinigan and they sais they only do large orders so i decided to skip it. I ordered the beef silog with a side of spam and lumpia. The beef was well seasoned but a little tough honestly, it was still really good the eggs were cooked perfectly, sunny side up and nice and runny. The garlic rice was a nice balance to the dish as well. The spam was cut at a decent thickness and added a good depth of flavor to the meal. And the lumpia was alao pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had but still very enjoyable.
Overall it was good ans worth a visit if youre looking for a nice homemade meal.
Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Filipino food with a side of good energy. ️
Side note: we had the food when we got home, and fyi, best chicharon bulaklak that we’ve ever had. the menudo and pinakbet was so good too!
I wish my family were here to enjoy it. We love karaoke music It was such fun! There’s lots of room! I’M GONNA EAT HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!
Anyhow,,,
Squid rings. They were fried and shriveled up, kinda tasted like fried chicken skin…now I like fried chicken skin, so don’t get me wrong…they tasted great but was not what I expected. Expected crispy tender rings.
Chicken adobo. My sister makes it better!
Garlic fried rice. Now THAT was delicious! Never had it and loved loved loved it!! I’d come here just for the rice.
Pancit. Well, again disappointed as the flavor fell flat for me.
One thing that brighten up the night was the live karaoke. If you feel like you want to let go and don’t care about embarrassing yourself, don’t worry, everyone else will be embarrassed for you. But you’ll have loads of fun !!
Disclaimer: if you are health conscious and do not like to eat pork, this review may not be for you, but don’t worry, as they have other options available!
I always get the lechon combo from Zarlitos. You get pancit bihon, garlic fried rice, lumpia, and a generous serving of lechon kuwali. The lechon is crispy, melts in your mouth, and tastes great with the garlic fried rice and mang tomas sauce. This is Filipino soul food at its very finest, and I never leave Zarlitos feeling dissatisfied.
The sisig plate is crispy, juicy, and has the right amount of zest and spice that makes this sisig great. This is a lot of pork to eat in one sitting, so I definitely recommend eating a portion of the meal and saving the rest for the next day. Zarlito’s generous servings, tasty food, and homey customer service always bring me back for more.
