Views were gorgeous. Brunch menu had so many yummy and different options. We had the benedict, harvest hash and breakfast quesadilla. They looked so yummy I got a late picture.
Only gave service a 4 because it wasn’t too busy and food took quite a while to come out nothing against service staff..
They were all very friendly and helpful. I will definitely try again next time I’m in town..
You should too

CIELO is an absolutely stunning venue. The setting, especially at night, is beautiful. The architecture is clean and modern, the lighting is warm and deliberate, and the entrance alone creates a great first impression. The space feels upscale and thoughtfully designed without being over the top. This would be a perfect location for a wedding or a formal gathering.

We came for dinner and had a good overall experience. I ordered the steak frites, which was cooked exactly how I asked. The fries were hot, crisp, and well seasoned. The wine selection was solid, and the cocktails were balanced without being overly sweet or heavy. The food and drinks matched the quality you would expect at this price point.

The main issue was the service. For a place that looks and charges like this, you expect a higher level of attentiveness. Empty plates piled up without being cleared, and we had to ask more than once to have the table reset or for a full water bottle. It was a noticeable gap in an otherwise polished experience. Our server was friendly, but not proactive.

CIELO gets a lot right. I would return for the setting and food alone. Just don’t expect flawless service without having to ask.

Went to brunch with a chef friend of mine. Had the avocado toast, bison burger, and the poached eggs. Also enjoyed the Bloody Mary bar where I got to make my own concoction. Beautiful views, beautiful and delicious food, and a great time catching up with a very good friend. Highly recommend

A beautiful location with good food was offset by high prices and mediocre service. The view over Fountain Valley at night is very nice. The food quality was very good. But the prices are high. Would you like bread with your meal? That will be $8 for a warm roll. Service was OK and could have been better if they came around to refill waters. 1 drink and a main course was $65pp.

I’m in town just to get away from the cold and snowy NJ weather. I flew in early this morning so I wanted to stay as close to my hotel as possible. Cielo was offering a prefix Christmas menu and I chose their bisque and prime rib. Overall I was severely disappointed for the $150 price.

The bisque was tasty but cold. I asked my waitress if it was supposed to be served this way and she didn’t think so. The manager offered to buy me a drink as compensation. The prime rib came out and looked amazing but it was inconsistent. And it was also fairly cool, barely warm. Some bites had flavor while others none.

The staff are the saving grace and they were all very cordial, polite, and attentive. No helicopter service staff here. All in all I would not opt for this experience again. I’m not even sure I would opt for the normal dishes given how expensive they are and the mixed experience I’ve had so far.

The restaurant was not terribly busy so I can’t imagine why I had this kind of experience. It’s a shame really because the staff deserves more recognition than the food allows for them to receive.

I am generally hesitant to write negative reviews. As a fellow business owner, I understand how both positive and negative reviews can influence a potential customer’s decision, and I try to be thoughtful when sharing feedback. I also recognize that anyone can have an off night and believe in giving grace where it is due. That said, if this were my establishment, I would want to know if this type of experience was occurring.

Maybe we caught the restaurant and or our server on an off evening. Maybe both…. However, we spent nearly two hours trying to have dinner. Our server was mostly nonexistent. We would have gladly ordered additional drinks and desserts, etc…but that requires a server to take and place those orders.

The risotto was quite good, though the pork chop came out dry. At that point, after sitting for close to two hours, we ate quickly and left.

On a positive note, the hostess was fantastic and very welcoming/funny, and the valet was extremely personable and set a great tone when we arrived. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the views were absolutely stunning.

If the back of house was short staffed, or dealing with challenges, or whatever it be, it would have been helpful to know that upfront. No problem, we’ll drink more! Communication goes a long way.

I truly hope this was just an off night, because there are clearly strong people on the front end, and with the setting and atmosphere, this restaurant had the potential to be a great experience. I would absolutely be willing to give it another try the next time I am back in town, and if that experience reflects what this place is capable of, I would be more than happy to revisit and significantly revise or remove this review.

We had dinner at Celio while staying at the resort.

TL:DR

-Milion dollar views for a unique sunset dinner without the accompanying price tag.

Wonderful setting and great ambience  even moreso if you reserve a table on the patio ahead of time, which I highly recommend booking a sunset dinner reservation in advance thru OpenTable.

We had live music during dinner (Guy doing covers on acoustic guitar).

Celio recently made changes to their menu.

I ordered a rare cooked  “Steak + Frites”  steak was truly unremarkable.  It was tender but bland.

It was mostly resuced by an amazing Chimichurri but that is something that should be reserved for less cuts of beef.  Not everyone is a fan of Chimichurri  sauce.

But  28 day dry-aged  USDA Prime steak should stand by itself and not need to be hidden under accoutrements or sauces.

I belive the steak wasn’t left to rest after cooking and it was pre-cut for “presentation”.  I was expecting a NY strip and not medallions.

My wife order the vegetarian/GF option:  “Stuffed acorn squash” it was trujy much better than I was expecting.  My wife thought it was wonderful and delicious.

We truly enjoyed the Coconut Panna Cotta woth Pineapple for desert it was excellent it helped make the meal over all.

Amber our server took some great dinner photos of us.   As well as a provided excellent an attentive service.

I booked a sunset reservation ahead of time thru Open Table as I wanted us to be seated on the patio for sunset for Saturday dinner.

The battery operated led table lamp and replacement strobed and died  making it hard to see our food as the sun had set when our entrées arrived.

Matt the Food and Beverage manager came around to the table and welcomed us.

Your paying for ambience over sustenance  or consistent excellence from the kitchen.  If you come with this expectation you won’t be disappointed.

Its a great place for a special occasion.

“The highest elevation in Fountain Hills offers some amazing views of the town, the Fountain (when going off) and the surrounding mountains of 4 Peaks (El Oso), The Goldfields and the Superstition”

The service was absolutely horrible. Asked for three well done filet mignon and was served two filets and a rib eye yet the manager disputes it to state all steak were filets. Mistake made and no problem until I am told I am mistaken. Then the chef came to confirm it was a rib eye. Manager never came back to apologize. See the photo.

Our experience was fabulous for food and view. I believe all was overpriced. Joey was a fantastic. We ordered fish, lamb, short rib and a filet, all cooked perfect. Tried the green chili corn chowder, a lot of corn, no green chilies, I make much better!
I WOULD RECOMMEND
