Salvo’s Pizzeria has big personality and even bigger slices. Located inside Delray Beach Market, Salvo’s dishes up both traditional hand-tossed New York slices and whole pies that are big city certified, and authentic Sicilian-style slices and pies infused with the flavor of Southern Italy. Manned by Sicilian chef Salvo Barna, the pizza parlor is the answer for all cravings, as it includes cheesy pizzas, hot paninis, garden green salads and an array of antipasti. A chicken parmesan pizza — in which the crust is entirely made of the Italian staple — is soon to be a Delray Beach classic. Salvo’s Pizzeria is no frills, all flavor and serious about its slices. New York Style. Sicilian Heritage.

I was only going to get one slice, but the guy at the register – he gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse so I got two slices and a sprite.

Pizza is pretty good. I went there on a Friday night. I like the vibe of the place (Del Ray Market that is) they had a DJ playing music inside, which I loved, but due to the noise. Somewhat difficult to order as you have to yell your order.

That aside I’d come back.

This place is inside the Delray Beach Market, which is apparently temporarily closed now for renovations. Parking is a nightmare in that area, but you can use the Market’s garage and have the ticket validated before you leave.

We stopped here on a weekday a couple of months ago for a quick lunch just by chance: the vendors we wanted to try were either closed or “out of stock”, so we decided to try Salvo’s pizza.

We ordered a couple of slices and ate them at the bar nearby (so that we could pair them with a glass of beer).
Considering we’re always on the lookout for authentic Italian pizza, I never thought of trying Salvo’s before. The slice was very thin and could definitely be more generous on toppings, but it was ok.

I wouldn’t stop at (any) Salvo’s on purpose, but I think they’re still good for a quick bite.
Prices are average of the area.

The flavor was great. Good quality pizza. It was really thin though. I guess I should’ve saw it coming since it’s new york style, but I thought a 14” would be enough to fill 2 people. The online ordering was great.

NY style pizza offering many different kinds plus lots by the slice. When ordering slices, they aren’t hot and need to be reheated.

Good thin and crispy crust.

Delicious NY style pizza! Great service friendly and welcoming staff! Inside of the Delray Beach Market!
Absolutely delicious pizza! I had the white pizza slice – only $4.00 for a huge slice! A perfect blend of garlic, ricotta cheese and mozzarella! Came out of the oven piping hot with delicious cheesy goodness!! I absolutely loved it ! I’m a born and raised NY’er and it’s always a challenge finding a NY style pizza. The crust is buttery and crispy. I can’t wait to try all they have to offer! I highly recommend!

Came to the Delray Marketplace and was absolutely blown away by the amount of amazing options in here. Salvos stood out the most from the incredibly delicious slices at their display and I promise you, it’s the best decision you’ll choose that day! I had the 4 cheese pizza and it’s reminiscent of a NY style slice. I will DEFINITELY come back and enjoy other options they have to offer as well.
ALSO!! The staff is probably some of the nicest people I’ve come across so that’s always a plus!

I’m from NY and I am always looking for a pizza that compares. Well Salvo’s does!! Wow delicious! Salvos even from Palermo Italy where my families from. Win win. Nice guy, even better pizza. Highly recommend. These few bad reviews prior to mine must be their competition making stuff up and being poor sports cause Salvos is AWESOME!! As close to NY pie as you can get in Florida

Pizza deserves 5+ stars
The way you order & pickup the pizza deserves 0 stars. But the pizza is truly excellent. Great sauce, no grease, crispy crust. We’ll go back for the pizza. But you order online, not on their website but on the general market website which takes a little navigating even though you enter that site through Salvos.com pay upfront, and get a text. But there’s nobody to say “your pizza will be ready in 15-20 min or 30-45, etc.” so it’s a guessing game of when you should head over for your pickup. And hope your pie doesn’t sit & get cold while you’re driving over for your ready pickup. Then you have to pay to park, even to pick up. Which is annoying. But the pizza is very very good. But these annoyances will keep non Downtowners & non 20 something’s away. Because it’s cumbersome, even for excellent pizza.

Just ordered a vodka sicilian pizza. I’ve gotten it in the past and it was fantastic. Today, i open my box and theres literally 0 sauce. I asked the older guy working if he had vodka sauce. He rudely tells me no he doesn’t know what i’m talking about. I told him I ordered a vodka pizza how can he give me literally cheese on bread? No comment back. I just drove here from WPB for this pizza and cant even get a comment back. Horrendous service.

What a disappointment. We got talked into ordering a whole pizza and told it would be about 10 minutes. Forty minutes later we finally got our soggy burned crust very little meat meat lovers pizza. Oh and no explanation for the huge delay. Not sure what’s happening to this whole Delray market but this was our last visit based on this experience.
