I think I just had one of the best pies (pizza) ever! Yes, it was custom, with the white garlic sauce (fantastic), not over saucy (slimy), and the crust was perfect… Maybe it’s the X2 beers, but I doubt it. I will definitely be back, but it’s not an everyday event, a little pricey but totally worth it for those that really love pizza! My server, sat at the bar, was on point and I couldn’t have asked for better! GREAT WORK ST. ANGELOS! I hope I get a chance to come back through soon, as I am just passing through GA, but I would go out of the way by a couple hundred miles just to get a chance to order this same pie and have the afternoon that just made my week!

Just a really disappointing experience all around honestly. The tea reminded me of the level of strength that one would expect to find after reusing a Lipton tea bag for the fourth time. And the wings were very mediocre in flavor, and small in size. The service was good, the server did everything she could to make up for poor quality. But ultimately I can hardly blame her. I’m not inclined to blame the chefs either, the food that was there was cooked fine, even if the sauces werent very good. I would assume there’s some sort of stingy management at play.

Our server was really good and very attentive and was regularly asking if we needed refills or anything the one downside about the place is if you got a big butt the chairs hurt all metal chairs that have the close sides on them in the back of the seat so unless you sit forward on the chair seat you know those two pieces of metal kind of cut into you. We ordered around 6:00 p.m. the place was full and we had our pizza by 6: 20. We got the “Chicago deep dish pizza” and it’s really not authentic Chicago deep dish pizza it’s like a thin crust on the inside and the tall crust on the outside and there was plenty of cheese but the other toppings were lacking and we didn’t add anything to it except extra sauce and the sauce is not like authentic Italian pizza sauce it’s good, probably better than Pizza Hut or Marcos or even Papa John’s. Other than that everything was good it was not that expensive and it was pretty cool that the place that it was in had bowling, Putt-Putt and laser tag a game room and climbing area is pretty good little place for people to bring their kids or maybe a church group and hang out. One of their Putt-Putt courses is inside nine hole and lit with black lights! Looks really neat inside. The place is a little far from our house but at some point I think we will probably go up there and definitely do the Putt-Putt and try some other Pizza that they have. Overall good dining experience. I think you would like it.

We had super veggie slice and personal pepperoni with butter toffee cake. Our uber driver said they had some real good pizza and he wasn’t lying!! The pizza was fantastic and my husband was in cake heaven he said! The service was fabulous they were so nice and very attentive. The place had a great vibe! We will definitely return!

Hopefully they serve awesome pizza and wings during dinner because the meatball sub at lunch was an absolute train wreck. Frozen meatballs on untoasted bread with barely enough marinara sauce to stain the bread and just enough cheese to glue the meatballs to the bread. I would have complained to our waitress if she had bothered to stop by after the food was brought to the table, didn’t see her again until it was time to get the bill.
The cherry on top came when I told our waitress about the poor excuse for a meatball sub and her response was “well, we’re not known for our sandwiches”….
Sure wish you would have told me that when I ordered.
They earned the 1 star as their fries were pretty good.
Won’t return and won’t recommend.

The garlic knots are good! I got the Greek ones that are filled with feta and Kalamata olives, so tasty! We also got a slice of cheese pizza, which was good. Loved the crust! Also got a build your own pasta with bow tie noodles and butter/Parmesan. It’s a little plain, but that’s generally how “butter noodles” are. I tried the chicken Parmesan sub and was not happy with it, something with the seasoning just didn’t agree with me taste wise. It’s also a thick cut of chicken, typically it’s a nice flat cutlet. That won’t stop me from exploring their menu some more. We saw some other things we really want to try. We did take out, order took only 20 minutes, placed the order online.

Updated review…..
Have to drop it a notch given a crew of us ordered “Deep Dish” pizza again today and received exactly what I received many moons ago. The pizza was anything deep or dish. I say take it off the menu instead of disappointing the expectant customer.

Previous, “Benefit of the Doubt” Review….
Ok, this place is really the best place for families and the service is amazing (We had the best waitress tonight who wonderfully served our large party) and the food is top notch…SOOOO this critique is meant to be constructive and not done in a mean spirit, but with hopeful consideration. My wife and I were so excited to see listed a Chicago style “Deep Dish” pizza on the menu. And for the price, we expected just that. And while the pizza was tasty, it was anything but “deep” or “dish”. In fact, it was thinner than any NY style pizza out there. The Pics says it all including the menu description of it but now wondering if by saying “pan” is why its so thin? Either way, it still goes against the premise of deep dish. I also posted an actual pic of what a Deep Dish ought to look like. Listen, if you guys decide to have this on your menu, please follow through with a Chicago style deep dish pizza…..and not just a thick crust or the Emerson lite version of it……
If we had received what we thought we were paying for, I promise you my wife and I would come back for the pizza itself and would pay any amount for the pie without hesitation!

You are the first place this side of Atlanta with any offering of this type of pizza. We’ve looked!

Again, just a consideration. Because the truth is, the Lake Point is Phenomenal, St. Angelo’s really is a top tier restaurant and the service in both areas are the best.
Thank you again

Servers were nice and friendly. Food is ok. Garlic knots are good , calzone doesn’t have ricotta which it should, but it was ok. Chicken parm was like a frozen chicken patty on a bun, but tasted ok. Prices are about average. Pizza is good.

The food is okay but the service is awful. Extremely poor communication all around (Even the hostess was confused about which and how many menus to bring lol). The ability to understand guests needs and answer questions about the menu is non existent. No plates for appetizers for a big family, no napkins for a table full of small children. They charge $1 for tomato on a sandwich and don’t tell you about it. Just overall a negative vibe here.

Very happy with the pizza! It’s a busy, fun, environment and there’s bowling and an arcade next door. Definitely get the deep dish if you are a fan!
