It’s a Diner with excellent, caring, helpful service. Food is decent. We got omelets. Didn’t care for the breakfast potatoes too much. Coffee is good. Quaint area downtown Garden Grove. Limited Street parking and parking lot in back.

Honestly, the food is good and not the problem. Our tables issue was; all of our dishes came out in 5 minute increments… my food was 1st, then the 2 burgers and fries, then my husband’s bacon and eggs, 5 minutes later, his pancakes showed up. Needless to say, my food was warm at best and my hash browns were crispy outside and mushy inside.

Kaye’s Kitchen has easily become my go-to breakfast spot in Garden Grove. The food always tastes fresh — especially the omelettes and breakfast burritos — and the portions are perfect. The service feels super friendly and old-school, like a true diner vibe. I love that you can grab brunch here any day of the week without waiting too long. Exceptional service from Adrianna. Hers recommendations, attentiveness and customer interaction helped us having great dining experience. I was new to the restaurant their pancakes are the best. Tried the short stack, Adrianna offered us an idea of splitting the plate as we were two people. We enjoyed the amazing strawberry pancakes they were super yummy. Tried chicken burrito and vegetarian omelette. All the items were amazing. Coffee was good too. It is refillable. Amazing location and food was 10 on 10. Continue the amazing service. Love to see our community so winning with your kind restaurants and your services.

Quaint little dinner place in what it looks like old downtown Garden Grove. I prefer the outside seating, specially on Sundays as they close the street for the weekly farmer’s market. The food is delicious, if you are very hungry get the ribs and stake. It comes with a rack of falling off the bone meat ribs. The chillie omelet is also delicious, and their pancakes…Yummy! Great service, very pleasant staff. I have only eaten breakfast because you cannot go wrong with that, so I have to make sure to come by for other dishes. Come hungry!

Cute diner with great food and prices. This was our favorite breakfast joint while visiting Disneyland. The service was fast, friendly, and the staff was wonderful. Loved the eggs Benedict, BLT, and the pancakes were some of the fluffiest we’ve ever had. Will definitely be going back whenever we visit.

I saw this place when looking for a breakfast spot in the area, since I live about an hour away. First things first, it exceeded expectations. Far exceeded.
My wife and I split a bacon and cheddar omelette, requested well-done, and received it as requested.
It came with home fries (also could choose cottage cheese or hash browns), and toast (we picked sourdough). I added a side of bacon and side of sausage patties.
Service was excellent. Food was brought out quickly and the omelette was still steaming. It was exactly as requested, as was the crispy bacon.
The sausage was delicious. The toast was nicely buttered and toasted, with a good variety of jam/jelly packets as spreads.
The bacon was flavorful, and thick, and perfectly crispy.
The home fries were perfectly done. With the potatoes being fork tender and nicely seasoned.
Their salsa was very nice, a little bit of a kick but I wouldn’t consider it hot. It added some good flavor to an already flavorful meal.
There was ample parking in the back, though it was in the state of being repaved, so watch for puddles, probably will be done soon, and that’s not the restaurant’s responsibility, as it’s a community parking lot.
The waitstaff was attentive and since we ordered extra sides, we had extra plates, as soon as we divided up our sides, and set those empty plates aside, they were quickly bussed to give us more room on the table. After the meal the waitress asked how it was and if it was our first time, then she recommended options and specials for other days of the week. You could tell she enjoys working there and that says a lot about a restaurant!
They don’t keep their condiments on the table, so you’ll need to ask for things like ketchup and mustard, the mustard is French’s in a bottle, the ketchup is Heinz and delivered in little 2oz cups (see picture), so I had to ask for a couple more, but they got those to us quickly!
I honestly wish I lived closer so I could go more often. Now I find myself wanting to try and find a reason to head down here again!

My daughter asked for pancakes so a random google search sent me here, as I didn’t want to go to a usual casual spot like Denny’s etc. The place is very cool! The atmosphere is retro and charming and the food was delicious. Bringing a tiny toddler into a restaurant is always a mixed bag, but the waitress here was kind, attentive, fun, and sweet with my baby which means the world to me.

This is a great little diner that is very affordable. I had the Kayes omelette which has just about everything in it. The eggs were fluffy and nothing was dry. The pancake was sweet and a great texture. I did not feel it needed syrup myself. When doing a side of fruit I usually like more variety but the melons were at least fresh. The staff was very nice, welcoming, and attentive. This is a great place for either yourself or a group but parents there is no changing table in the men’s restroom, I can’t speak for the women’s.

I really want to give this place a higher rating, the people here are great, the service and atmosphere are great, good portion for the price. However, the 2 chicken fried steaks my partner and I ordered were bland, almost like they completely forgot to season them as I didn’t taste anything but the crusts and the gravy on top. On the other hand, the hash brown and eggs were awesome, everything else looks great but at the end of the day, I came for the chicken fried steak and it was a letdown. Maybe I’ll come back to try it again another day as it could just be an off day.
