I’d been eager to try this place since it opened, so I stopped in Thursday night around 8:00. It was packed when I arrived, so I was lucky to snag a table without waiting.
The menu offers a wide mix of modern American dishes, including small plates, salads, sandwiches, tacos, and pizza.
I started with the Calabrian chicken wings, which were crispy and coated in a well-balanced chili and honey sauce.
Next, I had the steak frites, with the steak cooked to a juicy medium and finished with a rich, velvety brandy peppercorn sauce.
For my main, I went with the Drunken Chicken Sandwich. The chicken cutlet was perfectly crisp and topped with creamy burrata, vodka sauce, and fresh arugula.
My friend ordered the Platinum Burger, which was cooked just right and topped with caramelized onions, crispy bacon, cheddar jack cheese, and garlic aioli.
The only real flaw with the meal was the fries, which could have been hotter and crispier.
Between the lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food, The Broken Record is a cool spot that’s definitely worth checking out.
Cons: The water tasted awful( Tap), Dishes are mediocre, and parking can be scarce due to its layout.
I still plan on checking out the rest of the menu ❤️
Two bartenders were very busy, but friendly. Music was not too loud.
The atmosphere is where this place really shines. It’s moody rock-and-roll with a classy edge. A mellow mix of rock, indie, and familiar laid-back jams plays in the background. One wall is covered in record sleeves, another in black-and-white concert photography, and the third leans into a chaotic, block-letter graffiti style. It somehow all works. Bonus points for the four single-seater bathrooms—always appreciated.
Before ordering, we did a little recon by eyeing plates coming out of the kitchen. After asking two staff members which chicken sandwich was most popular, I went with the Drunken Chicken Sandwich—crispy chicken cutlet, burrata, vodka sauce, arugula, on a brioche bun. My wife ordered The Platinum Burger with caramelized onions, bacon, cheddar jack, and garlic aioli.
The burger was fantastic—juicy, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the meal. The chicken sandwich was good, but just okay compared to how strong everything else was.
Overall, it was a great experience with solid drinks, a cool atmosphere, and standout food. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, I’m ordering that burger. And don’t pass on the fries! These were on a different level!
