We were there Friday, Jan 16th around 7 pm. Food was great, will definitely be back. Our server, next time hope is someone different. She was all grumpy, poor attitude unless you are a regular or she knows you. Spent more time with them and her kids (don’t think it wise to have your kids at your workplace). Granted, it was fairly busy when we got there, but she was all mad with us right from when we sat down. She got our drinks, said we were ready to order, I said we’d start with mushrooms and she walked right off before we could finish ordering. Brought mushrooms to us and walked away again without even asking for our main order. I had to flag her to get our order placed, then it took quite awhile to get our food ( yes busy but still). Never once checked on us, or bothered to let us know about our dinner. My wife had to ask a different server about our meal. She was quite nice and helpful by the way. Other server brought our food to us. Original server never came to our table again until was time for the bill. Never once were we asked if wanted our drinks refilled or anything. Apparently if she doesn’t know you, you basically get next to no service. Hence why she got basically no tip. The other server I gave 5 to just for being nice, pleasant and helpful even though she really didn’t do much for us, she was a great example of how a server should treat customers, regulars or not. Prices here seem pretty fair, food was excellent, we will be back for sure. Just won’t have the bartender be our server.

Was our first time trying this place tonight. Got there around 715-730 give or take. Didnt have to wait long for a table. Our waitress came and could instantly tell she wasn’t a happy camper. She was short, seemed annoyed with everyone. Took our drinks and appetizer to us but then just left without taking the rest of our order. So we are eating our fried mushrooms still waiting for her to come back. She didn’t. My hubby flagged her down. Then we NEVER saw her again at our table! Waited and waited for our food. Meanwhile we watched her behind the bar taking other orders ect and never once checking on us. I was getting a tad upset at this point. I finally asked another waitress if she’d check on our food. She was nice about it and so we THANK her!! So after we got our food, then our server tries to come over with a different attitude. By then it’s too late. We HATE leaving bad reviews, but this was uncalled for and I’ve been a waitress so I know how it is. We will give it another try there, and hoping a better experience. 1/16/26

We both got ribeye steaks. They were cooked to medium rare as requested, something that doesn’t always work out. Good food, nice server, would visit again. Atmosphere is loud and the facility it long overdue for s touch up. Over all, a solid choice.

I ordered onion rings as an appetizer. They were good. For my main dish I ordered a New York Strip with the house salad and a baked potato. The flavor of the steak was pretty good but it was very gristly. The salad was the most boring salad I’ve ever had. No issues with the baked potato. The food tasted fine but the service was VERY slow. It was probably 10-15 before she came by the table each time so when we needed something we had to wait a while before we could even let someone know we needed something. Once we said what needed we got it quick. I probably wouldn’t drive back to headland to go again. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from a restaurant in Headland Alabama

We went here 2hrs to close. The place was quaint and cozy. The place was a little dated. Service was ok. We got our drinks quick and we ordered. But it took 1 hr to get our food. My steak wasn’t cooked way I wanted and my husband’s also. The baked potato was steamed not baked. And vegetables weren’t favorable, very bland. The steak had a good taste. We didn’t get refills till we were almost done with the food. The waitress was very friendly and nice but she was distracted . We will try them again to see if it was just a glitch. But I think it doesn’t matter as they should have a the same standards any day of the week.

Worth the drive.
While out of the way for some, it easily makes up for the drive with quality food. So far, this is the best steakhouse I’ve found in the wiregrass.
Is it perfect? No. They seem short staffed. The decor is horribly dated. The parking lot is small and has potholes. The prices are expensive. The cooking can be hit or miss (I ordered my steak MED Rare and it came out Well in some parts and Rare in others, something I’ve never seen before) but even the misses are good.
The appetizers, salads, sides, pastas and steaks are all flavorful and reasonably quickly presented.
The drinks can be hit or miss depending on servers.
The desserts and very rich… like bring some insulin type rich. Totally worth the diabetic coma afterwords though.
This isn’t a dress up kind of establishment so don’t worry if you don’t come in your Sunday best. Just try not to be too people of Wal-Mart.

Not fancy on the inside but the food is very good. The service was excellent. The ribeye was the best steak I have had in a long time. The hand cut fries and okra are good.
