Chomp House is an absolute gem! From start to finish, our experience was incredible. Our server was wonderful—so kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help with anything we needed. What really stood out was the chef coming out to the floor to personally check on us and ask about our meal. You could tell she truly cared about our experience and was excited to hear our feedback, which made the whole night feel so special.
The menu had amazing options with something for everyone, and every dish we tried was cooked to perfection with top-notch quality. But the desserts… WOW. Absolutely phenomenal—beautifully made, rich in flavor, and honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. Chomp House is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. A must-try!

Fantastic Chili, oddly no crackers available that day but definitely not a deal breaker because the chili was so good. We also ordered the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese and Onion Rings. The rings were huge and cooked perfectly but were a little bland (I like more seasoning in the batter/breading). The pulled pork sandwich was panini style and it was really, really good with a side of their BBQ to dip it in. We will definitely go back to try other things! They’re an exciting addition to the area and I hope they do well!

The portions were generous and the quality was really good. We had potato skins, loaded potato and burger with pulled pork. Too much to eat .
They are closing for the winter. If you are in the area in the spring through fall I would definitely stop.

Driving from Houghton down to LP on a Monday after college visit in October. Nothing was open. Found the Chomp House and pleasantly surprised. Clean inside. Friendly table service. Great onion rings. Giant baked potatoes; we got them topped with chili, and pulled pork (smoked in house). Nice hot dinner when we thought we would be stuck with gas station fare. Would definitely stop again if traveling in US 2 in the UP.

Great local place! We had the pulled pork spud, and a grilled onion cheeseburger. My hubby said he could have ate and ate on his pulled pork spud, but he finished it and my burger was delicious with some awesome onion rings!
I spilled my drink like I would, lol and the server was more than kind in assisting me to clean it up. Not a busy place but it was Monday night and we chose it based on reviews and proximity!

Annie was an absolute sweetheart and great server!! We were the only ones in there and food took over 30 mins, I ordered mozzarella sticks at 11:01 and they came out frozen in the middle at 11:08 and before the breakfast we ordered at 10:45. Other than that I liked my French toast a lot, but the person I was with was not a fan of the pancakes. I’d come back personally.

Overall an amazing experience, the food was incredible. The owner was a super nice lady and she had amazing hospitality. She even let us play music on the speaker. Did I mention the food was great? I recommend Cuban sandwich.

The smash burgers are DELICIOUS as are the fries. I couldn’t ask for a better meal after a long day of hiking. Our waitress, Sanna, did a fantastic job serving us and handling all the tables.
