LoLo’s Chicken & Waffles definitely delivered a comforting, soul-food experience. The fried chicken was crispy, golden, and well-seasoned—juicy on the inside with that perfect crunch on the outside. You can tell it’s fried fresh. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and cheesy without being overwhelming, and the collard greens were tender and flavorful, cooked just right.

The cornbread was moist with a slight sweetness that paired well with the savory sides, especially with a little butter on top. Portions were generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. I also loved the vibe—relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for a laid-back meal.

Overall, this was a satisfying plate that hits the spot when you’re craving classic Southern comfort food. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for hearty portions and good flavor.

Food was good but it took forever to get our food and server Melisa came only once to check on us right after food came to table then did not bother coming back to check on us to see if we needed a refill or anything else. Music was a bit too loud for taste & we ended up requsting to be sat outside which was slight better. My auntie needed to order a to-go order that her daughter wanted & it took a long time to get her attention thru security. After she placed the extra order and we had to wait for almost another 30 min to get it, my auntie had asked a to-go box which she stated “I’ll be right back” and didn’t come back for another 5 to 10 min until I went to the bar to ask for a box & she finally came back w one. The waitress came back 20 min after to ask us if we got our to-go order and we said no, she nodded & turned around & walked away but didn’t come back another 10 min so my auntie was already getting frustrated and decided to ask her to cancel the order & give her the money back. She then came back w food & asked if she wanted it since when she went back to check the “kitchen was just boxing the food”. My auntie reluctantly accepted it stating that she wanted to order earlier b/c foof took a long time to come & her excuse was that “Sundays are busy and food takes longer to come out”. We verbalized understanding & mentioned that was the reason my auntie was trying to flag her down sooner to put the extra order. We brought the fact that a receipt was not offered. She stated that it was at the end of the payment which I remembered seeing when I handed her the machine back but felt that she could have offered b/c if I had handed her the machine faster I wouldn’t have seen that page. She then made a face that she was about to cry and told us “I am so sorry that I ruined your damn day” & set the food down on the seat & walked away. The experience was not what I expected as an out of town visitor. My auntie had apologized multiple times for the poor experience.

We’ve been loyal customers of Lo-Lo’s for a long time and even made the drive up from Tucson just to enjoy lunch here. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was extremely disappointing.

After receiving our bill, we later noticed that our server had added an extra tip without our approval. This was not something we agreed to or authorized, and it left us feeling disrespected and honestly, shocked. We’ve never had this kind of issue before and never expected it from a place we’ve supported for so long.

It’s really upsetting to have an experience like this, especially when we go out of our way to support this business. We hope management takes this seriously and ensures that this doesn’t happen to other guests. Everyone deserves honesty and transparency when it comes to their bill.

We’re still fans of the food, but trust is just as important—and that was broken during this visit.

UPDATE MENU ITEM NAME—— MISLEADING

I recently ordered the hot links from Lolo’s, and unfortunately, my order was not what was advertised. The menu description clearly states that the dish comes with a waffle, eggs with shredded cheese, and a hot link on top. The photo reflects that full meal as well. However, I only received a side of 3 hot links.

I called the store and spoke with the manager to confirm I wasn’t misunderstanding the description. It becomes a headache when the issue gets passed off to DoorDash, because the real problem is the restaurant’s inaccurate description. When you go through DoorDash, they often issue a refund that’s less than what you actually paid at the restaurant. That means the customer ends up losing money, while the restaurant and manager walk away without dealing with the inconvenience.

Today, that’s exactly how it felt. I had to raise a whole issue just to get enough of a refund to reorder my food without paying more out of pocket. That shouldn’t be the customer’s burden.

This is simply feedback: please review your menu descriptions and make sure they are accurate. Clear and correct information prevents confusion, frustration, and unnecessary back-and-forth for everyone involved.

Outstanding juicy and crispy fried chicken with soft, buttery homemade waffles with a hint of cinnamon and what tasted like real maple syrup. The fried green tomatoes were also good. Disappointed by the banana pudding. We didn’t even finish it. I suppose once you’ve had the banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery, everything else is just fake. The music is loud, so be prepared to eat, not talk. I thought it was weird that the entree was served before the appetizer, but it worked out okay. Left more room for that amazing chicken.

We enjoyed our trip to Lolo’s! The food was great and the drinks were Awesome! However, the service was mediocre and slow for a non-crowded restaurant. My tried chicken was on point hot juicy and moist and my waffle was warm and fresh tasted so good and sweet melt in your mouth!
Can’t forget that ice sweet tea amazing! 100% recommend!
