Yulieth was a remarkable service, she was very attentive to our needs, very friendly and just great. We had Fajita Nachos Texanos that were customized to our liking. As always, the Dos Equis Amber on tap was perfect. We will be back.

Got a to go order of ACP… Chicken, CHEESE, and rice. I get home and there’s no cheese in it??? Usually good service, but what in the world.
Edit: went today, order ACP (again) and two quesadillas. The ACP had cheese this time, but the quesadillas are not what I ordered. Called the restaurant and asked for a replacement and got hung up on.

I am truly not someone who complains. I always defend local spots and I’m incredibly patient I work in the industry and I tip well because I get it.
But since Gerardo and his brother left Mi Cabana after the disagreement with ownership, the experience has honestly gone downhill. Tonight I waited 30 minutes just to be told my steak and rice wasn’t ready and it’s a dish that should be pretty straightforward. What was most disappointing wasn’t even the wait, it was the lack of apology or urgency.
This is now the third time I’ve had a similar experience. There are standards that keep people coming back, and unfortunately this just hasn’t met them lately.
We won’t be back for a while. I genuinely hope things improve.

Loved our waiter Josh ( I think that is his name) tall young man, curly black hair, super positive and upbeat. He made the trip there special. Food was good. The only blemish was the chicken my mom ordered was so thin and tough she could not eat it. Other than that the nachos and the camarones were very delightful!

A absolute favorite spot for Mexican in New Bern. Prices are great, food is delicious and fast. Service is top tier always. Didn’t get it this time but the Chorizo dip is so idulgent! Check this place out!

I don’t give out praise lightly. I’ve eaten tacos in parking lots, taquerias that only accept cash, and places where the salsa comes with a warning. So understand the gravity of this statement when I say: Mi Cabana has changed me as a person.
This location is so good that I have seriously considered naming my first child after it. Not in a “haha” way either. Like, “Mi Cabana Marsh” has a nice ring to it. Middle name still TBD.
The food hits every category: hot when it should be hot, cheesy when it should be cheesy, and gone from my plate way faster than I planned. The kind of meal where you sit back afterward and rethink every bad Mexican food decision you’ve ever made.
Service was on point, vibes were right, and the salsa showed up like it had something to prove.
If you’re on the fence, get off it. If you don’t like this place, I respectfully question your credentials.

This is now my third time I’ve had a terrible experience in the past couple months but this one was by far the worst. Wife and I order ACP and ACC around 1:55. We waited 30 mins until we asked about it to which the server said it’s no where near being ready. Yes, I know Sundays are usually busy because of the church crowd but a lot were leaving then and my wife had a meeting at 3. No reason chicken, steak, rice, and cheese should take that long. The server did just let us leave without paying for the drinks but other than that awful experience. This place has truly gone downhill ever since those two brothers left. Gerado was his name I think.

The food was nasty. There was barely any rice with my acp , the food the liquidity and so was the cheese sauce. Not at all what I am used to from the other mi cabanas I have been to. Very disappointed

Used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant in New Bern. Good spices, good drinks and good service. However, that all seems to have disappeared. The authenticity of the establishment has disappeared. I knew when the plates weren’t burning my fingerprints off and the queso on my burrito looked to have been layered on with a teaspoon something drastic changed. My wife’s birria tacos weren’t fried all the way and also lacked a sufficient amount of cheese. Just all around disappointing to see.

This use to be our Go To Mexican. But the last 2 times we’ve came here it has been bad. Must have different cooks. Food hasn’t been hot at all and our order has been incorrect. I even go out of way to make sure they understand what we want but it’s still incorrect. When our server (Mary) brought the food out to our table I told her it was incorrect but I hate to waste food so I ateine anyway. Both of our burritos were only like warm. Cheese on top of burritos wasn’t even melted. She never did come back to check on us. I told my wife that she wouldn’t come back. Had to go to counter to get check to pay. We will be looking at other options for Mexican Food. Would advise to rethink about going here if you want Hot Food & Good Service
