Service was outstanding.
Local wine was so different but very good.
Sam’s piano was a major photo opportunity for everyone.
The food was great.
Many people left before us as we have long, slow, civilised lunches.
It was pricey but still good value for money.

Lovely experience, good food, good service! I made a reservation 3 in advance and happy to be seated in the main courtyard. I had the beef fillet but the lamb was better. Desert was great! Treat as a restaurant on its own, and not THE Rick’s Cafe from the movie Casablanca; not the same look and feel of the set. The pianist started at 7:45pm, minus the first track – as time goes by, didn’t enjoy Spanish ballads… didn’t fit the mood.

We booked a table online a couple of weeks in advance. You will receive an email reply to confirm your attendance with the number of people attending directly from the management. Make sure you reply to this as if you don’t have a confirmation email from Rick’s Cafe it is almost impossible to get in. Checks are conducted at the door.
Depending on the season sometimes coach loads of people will visit.
The decor and atmosphere is amazing, a true replica of the bar in the film down to the piano music playing in the background.
The food is excellent, a small menu but a good choice of French cuisine. The bar has a much more of a selection of wines, cocktails and drinks.
The service staff are welcoming, smartly dressed, polite, friendly and attentive.

Solo traveller. Visiting Rick’s was an essential for my visit to Casablanca. I know the movie wasn’t made here but still. It’s the vibe and experience I was after. Travelling as a single older lady sometimes tosses up the odd barriers. There was none of that here.
The meal was excellent, well balanced flavours and beautifully presented. Service impeccable and friendly without being in your face.
The staff are rightly proud of the business and very happy to show you around if you are interested and willing. Having said that I was there for lunch. I don’t know how you would go in the evening.
The movie is running on repeat in a very comfortable lounge upstairs if you are inclined to sit there and watch with your post meal coffee.
Thank you to the staff for being so kind and inviting. I enjoyed my visit very much.

One of the best experiences in Casablanca. Being able to enjoy the history and reliving the moment with delicious meal, excellent live music takes you to the iconic moments on th past. Definitely worth it if in Casablanca. Would recommend making a reservation.

The food is a little above average nothing exceptional. A small menu. As other reviews have said service not in your face.

You must make a reservation, but….
We showed up at 1830 when they opened and asked if we could sit at the bar. Turns out the bar seating is first come first served. You can also order the complete menu at the bar. My wife loved tge espresso martini. The barrata salad was excellent, and the beef stroganoff was delicious.
The bartender and staff were extremely professional and friendly.
The place has a great vibe.
I definitely recommend .

The place is very elegant, the interior design very pleasing, and every detail was taken care of. The staff very helpful. Altogether- highly recommended. However the food could be better – I ordered grilled fish which was salty to my taste, my husband’s pasta was a bit flavourless, too creamy, served not warm enough. Anyway, we would go there again.

Cocktail drinks were very delicious. The food looked good too, but we sat at the bar and didn’t plan for meals. They had fun live music. I recommend you get reservations if you want to eat or they’ll put you at the bar. There’s 2 queue lines outside one for reservations and another for walk-ins.
