When we moved to Florida to snowbird, a requirement was to be close to my starbies.
I was a little nervous with the recent bad reviews.
I almost went to another location.
(This was about a month ago)
I ordered door dash a few times as we did not have a car yet, & I’m not in the best shape to make the 5 minute walk.
The coffee was excellent, & the cute messages on the cup did not disappoint.
The coffee was better tasting at the Spring Hill location, vs my usual in Minneapolis (which is also very good)
We finally got a car & between my partner, my kids, & grandkids coming by everyday, the coffee is always so outstanding.
The employees are wonderful, always smiling, always so friendly.
This is a busy location, of course it’s going to be busy, that should be a good sign!
These people are lovely, the lobby is very clean.
Love that there are young kids working, as well as some older people. Great mix.
We are glad to make this location, our winter starbies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep up the good work folks. We appreciate you all.
As the coffee and snacks are usually good…
I was sitting in the cafe, working on grading essays.
I kept seeing a seasoned staff member(elder woman), darker complexion, black apron, standing around, sort of bossing people around but not really working herself. I assume she is the store manager, as she was the eldest one ‘working’. I thought it was rather weird the way she was speaking to her staff members.
I got up to use the restroom, when I came back I could hear her voice echoing, negatively.
I then witnessed her making hand motions like she was wanting her team to hurry up.
These people were moving as fast as they could, I was thinking to myself why she wouldn’t step in and help the team.
Eventually she stepping in and helped the drive thru, and I believe I saw her make a drink or two.
I got back up went to the counter to order some food, and I could hear the same woman talking in the back rudely about her team. I could very well tell this was woman has no business working at Starbucks, as all the other staff members were great.
The young man with the curly hair, in the hair clip, also in a black apron was friendly, & we had a nice conversation while she was standing In the side door way glaring at him.
She aggressively opened the oven, took my food out, and gave me my food with a forced smile.
Okay at least she tried with the customers.
But that means nothing when you are hollering and talking down on your team. When the entire lobby can hear you being a witch to your team, that’s a problem.
I sat back down and finished my grading.
About a hour later this woman comes back out stands by the drive in and starts hollering at the worker taking orders telling them to move faster because someone was in the drive in to long.
I can’t hear the rest but I can tell she is being not so delightful to the team member working the drive in.
The couple sitting on the couch next to me where also taking about how rude she has been, and how this behavior is new for said manager, assuming they are regulars, or maybe know the elder lady.
When I left later l saw the same team member that was in the drive in visibly upset with tears in eyes walking outside.
This manger is awful. Do better. Treat your team better. Creating a hostile workplace will only hurt the business.
I will no longer order if I see this woman in the building, and will take my business elsewhere.
Starbucks you need to watch your management better.
