McAlister’s Deli in Manhattan Kansas is one of my favorites so it all fairness this review is a constructive criticism for sake of knowledge in order to improve. The soups especially the potato soup is my favorite but on this particular day it was not . First of all the soup was not fresh the potatoes were crunchy and it was so salty that I couldn’t eat more than 2 bites. Very disappointed. Your staff was less than friendly nor inviting to the customers. Down right rude actually. So I’m glad I decided to go elsewhere for lunch after paying $11 for a cup of soup not a bowl and a sweet tea in which I had to wait for 15 minutes to get. Had to finally ask what was taking so long. She rolled her eyes and never returned with my order she never even came back to tell me anything. Totally disappointing experience. Do better McAlister’s Deli

We went to this restaurant for lunch for the first time.
When we walked in, there was a counter in front of us where we placed our order, and the cashier was very friendly and helpful.
The counter is clean and organized and very sanitary.
We sat at a table to eat inside and the table and chairs were very clean. Even though it was busy during lunchtime, we felt that the hygiene was very good. This is a very good thing.
There are napkins and salt and pepper on each table, and the napkins are well replenished.
The restaurant here has wheelchair parking spaces and the doors are wheelchair accessible.
I ordered the French dip sandwich with a side of potato salad.
This sandwich was the best French dip sandwich I have ever had. My husband ordered the McAlister’s Club which was also very good.
This restaurant is a little pricy but we were very happy with it. I will definitely use this restaurant again!

McAlister’s incredibly generous portions always leave me satisfied. The Savannah Chopped Salad is a standout, with a delightful blend of flavors. The sweet-tart cranberries pair perfectly with the crunchy almonds. I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try.

We stop in pretty regularly for tea and lunch. However, we won’t be coming here anymore after the response we got from a situation. We stopped in at around noon and heard a dog freaking out in the backseat of a car parked in front of the restaurant. Mind you, the temperature was 100 degrees. We have all seen how fast it gets dangerously hot in a car. The windows were cracked in the front seat but the car was off, classic idiot person. There are already people watching this happening, so I’m not sure how long the car had been there before we walked up. Long enough though that people are worried and standing around watching. Some lady was trying to give him ice through the window. We told an employee and asked if they could maybe make an announcement. The employee asked the manager and he said that they couldn’t do anything… You can. You just chose not to because the restaurant was busy and the $ comes first. We weren’t asking you to break a window out, but you could have done something to make it known. We sat outside and called the non-emergency line to see if they had anyone nearby to come check on the dog. Thankfully after about five minutes a lady came out with her order. We were relieved, but no thanks to your team.
