Stopped in for dinner tonight and let me tell you this place is top notch. Food was delicious from the fried whiting and fried pork chops to the fresh baked cornbread served with a nice coating of butter. You will be treated like a VIP from the minute you step in the door and guaranteed you will enjoy this dining experience!

This place was a beautiful vibe. Candy yams and Mac and cheese were phenomenal- My friend had their chicken wings and whiting fish (THIS WHITING HAS SO MUCH FLAVOR Y’ALL) excited to go back and order it

I had the pork chops cooked beautifully along with collards and yams. And yes, the non-melanated will love it too.

I saw a Bob and Trisha in there and the excitement to try the food and not be scared to come in made my REALLY happy
JUST GO

Omg!! Tried this place for the first time for my Dads birthday and they didn’t miss with anything. I got the whiting meal with the sides of Mac and cheese and yams. Just amazing! I’ve been craving soul food for a while and this definitely nourished my soul! Definitely will be coming back.

My best friend and I stopped into the restaurant before our travel back home. Best choice we made that day! The owner/host was super welcoming! The ambience was cozy and beautifully decorated. We stopped by Feed Your Soul and ordered the 4-piece fried chicken dinner with two sides plus a side of cornbread to go. As soon as I opened the box, I knew we were in for something special. The chicken looked incredible—golden, crispy, and generously portioned. The entire meal gave that unmistakable home-cooked comfort vibe right from the start.

Highlights of the Dishes:

Fried Chicken:
Perfectly fried to a deep golden brown, the chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Every bite was flavorful, moist, and satisfying—the kind of comfort food that makes you pause and smile. It tasted like it came straight from a family kitchen, made with love and patience.

Collard Greens:
The collard greens were a standout. Savory, slow-cooked, and seasoned with soul, they had that deep, smoky flavor that can only come from hours of simmering. One bite and it truly touched my soul—rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese:
This was classic baked mac and cheese done right. Creamy and cheesy inside, with a crispy, caramelized layer of baked cheese on top that added texture and bold flavor. Every forkful blended comfort, richness, and that irresistible bite of toasted cheese—the definition of soul food satisfaction.

Cornbread:
The cornbread was moist, dense, buttery, and lightly sweet—a perfect partner to the savory dishes. It had that homemade taste and texture that only comes from scratch baking.

Every part of this meal felt intentional and heartfelt. You can taste the quality, freshness, and love poured into every bite. While some might consider $23.99 a bit high for a chicken dinner, it’s absolutely worth every penny for the portion size, made-from-scratch cooking, and pure comfort it delivers.

This is soul food done right—real, honest, and satisfying. I’m already planning to go back to try their desserts next, because if they’re anything like this meal, I know they’ll be just as unforgettable.

Much better then anticipated, typically when I get soul food im disappointed, it doesnt have that “home cooked taste” but let me tell you this, had BOTH my husband and I lost for words and savoring every bite , from the fish to the greens and most importantly the baked Mac we were both in awe of the flavor freshness and quality, and even after i was full i wanted to keep eating ,we will definitely be back! Even after the 45 min drive

What a great first experience! The chicken was flavorful, crispy, and clearly fresh. The cornbread was absolutely delicious — I could’ve eaten a whole tray of it! We also had sides of collard greens and mac & cheese, and both were excellent. Everything tasted homemade and seasoned with care.

I’ve seen a few people mention that it’s a little pricey, but honestly, it’s 2025 — food costs are up everywhere, and for the amount and quality you get here, it’s more than fair. The portions are generous, and you really can taste the love in every bite.

It truly did feed my soul. We both enjoyed it very much and will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant as they were closing for the evening. The owners are very nice very down to earth. Miss Goldie in the kitchen doing her thanggggg & Mr. Rome taking care of the rest! The food was just amazing, we have never ate there before but we will be returning very soon! We are stuffed, it definitely was a home cooked meal! We appreciate you both and thank you!

Back for another RiRi Rates/Reviews and we are here at Feed Your Soul Harrisburg PA! And let me start by saying this is by far one of the BEST restaurants I have ever had the pleasure in rating/reviews and I have been all over the oast 20 years.

First impressions- The smell smacks you the second you open the door it is incredible! Mixed with the the zen quality but also new York style decor extremely unique.

Customer service/information- Very welcoming environment, friendly, clean and made to order so FRESH is what you will be receiving so patience is a virtue if ordering take-out (well worth ever second) they also have a call ahead option for on the goers and a nice selection of tables. I did notice they also allow reservations for occasions which is perfect.

Now on to the best parts as always!

I want to start by saying that this is not your typical fast food soul food place. This place is down right home cooking at its finest!!!! The menu is bountiful right down to the 16 side options available!!!!

-fried chicken was so amazing I couldn’t even get to my sides tbh until the end. I could taste very hint of flavors used, the skin was fried to perfection.

Candied Yams- Once again the best hands down I’ve ever had I could taste at least 3 flavors made to perfection.

Corn on the cob- melted off the cob and seasoned juicy.

Mac and cheese- Delicious flavorful and I love that they made sure all portions had some of the crust we all crave.

Cornbread- Buttery sweet and fluffy!!!!!!

Mango peach homemade Kool aid yes I said Kool aid and it tasted like the most amazing Popsicle on the hottest summer day I would literally drive the hour again just for that tbh.

Strawberry-lemonade cake- words cannot describe the level of deliciousness and huge serving a must try if you have a sweet tooth (they have a large option of dessert available freshly prepared)

Last but certainly not least the Spanish style yellow rice was my favorite of this food run today I honestly don’t know what special magic ingredients were used in this rice but it was by far the best rice in the East Coast.

Until next time
XOXO RiRi
