I am local, and have been coming to this bar on and off every few weeks for two years.
I know the bouncer who did this by name. we’ve met dozens of times.
I came in, bought drinks for myself and some friends.
Walked to the pool table, hugged willard, asked who had the table next since someone had just finished a game.
Willard put money into the slots and dropped a new set of balls, he the started collecting the balls remaining on the table.
I grabbed 3 of the balls at the far end of the table and slid them to the MAN WITH THE RACK ON THE TABLE.
The Taller bouncer said “Nope, you’re outta here, touching balls.”
He recruited the shorter bearded gentleman and while I offered verbal protest, and did not resist in any way physically I was kicked out of the bar….
I dropped nearly 60$ at a place 90 seconds from my apartment, and was kicked out for pushing the pool balls to the guy who was racking the pool balls…..
I would like the owner to reach out.
I was as kind as possible and I have been as understanding as I can be, but your people have a responsibility not just to keep people safe, but also to pay attention.
They laid hands on me for the crime of spending money in your bar.
I’m sure he thought a game was ongoing – in which case these actions would be warranted.
However, the game was over, another man had just paid for a new game, dropped the balls, grabbed the rack, and began to rack the balls.
THEN I grabbed the 5,10, & 14 from the far side of the table and pushed them to him…..
If your people can’t pay attention what is the point of having security?
