We had been looking for a new Mexican restaurant and finally found it. Don Jose has hands down the best carnival verde I’ve ever had! Hubs loves the shredded chicken nachos and I’ve been having fun trying their other dishes.
Oh and don’t be fooled by their corn tortillas they make in house. They look just like the flour and don’t fall apart like the other typical corn tortillas. They’re prime, a must try.

Our waitress, Carina, was wonderful and made our experience lovely. I loved that they had a whole page dedicated to all things Birria. I want to try everything but ultimately chose the Birra Burrito. It was very delicious. It was also so big that I had to take half of it home which honestly I was very happy to do so I could enjoy it again the next day.

We ate dinner at Don Jose’s on Friday night (first time) and the food, service and atmosphere were excellent. I ordered the fajitas tejanas, which were very good. We also ordered margaritas which were also very good. Most notably, though, was the excellent service we received from our waitress Karina. She was welcoming, attentive and really made for an excellent overall dining experience. We’ll definitely be back to Don Jose’s and hopefully have Karina as our server again!

This restaurant is really good, the service is exceptional. They opened not too long ago, and let me tell you. I will be back. They have options for everyone. We got the choripollo, tri burrito, fajita quesadilla, burger, and kids quesadilla. Everything was delicious, and they came out together and freshly cooked. If you’re in the area, I recommend coming here for your Mexican food needs.
