I appreciated the lively atmosphere and the live music, but the sausage and brisket were disappointingly dry. I bought a tea, but I couldn’t get a refill because they had run out.

We used their catering service for a repast and the food was amazing! Our family was pleased with the quality and quantity of food provided. The guests at my MIL repast kept asking who did the food! The brisket 10/10! Smoked Turkey 10/10. We had dirty rice, Mac and cheese, and greens and they were all delicious! All 100+ family and friends from near and far were impressed by how delicious everything was! Paul was kind, respectful and accommodating to my husband from the beginning starting with the initial phone call to the timely delivery of the food to the church on Wednesday! The loss of my husband mom was a difficult day to prepare for but we thank God that Paul’s food was a comfort to those who loved her so! He even included heartfelt prayer on the invoice! We truly received favor that day!

Brisket (moist and tender) , pork ribs (tender and tasty), sausage (delicious), baked beans just “ok” seemed to be missing something, mac and cheese on point, bread pudding with rum sauce OH WOW STAR OF THE SHOW DEFINITELY EAT THIS BEFORE YOU EAT ANYTHING ELSE! I did enjoy the food, nothing I had was terrible. But (there’s always a but) let’s talk about the bbq sauce. Nice and brown color yet deceiving. Let’s just say it was like when you pick up a glass and your taste buds expect it to be one thing like coke or a sweet tea only to be let down and its water. Well im expecting a nice bbq sauce flavor. KETCHUP! That’s all I taste. But all in all the food was good. I will be back to try more items.

When we entered, we asked about the menu and said this is our first time here. We were directed to a huge, beautiful menu board and decided on the “ little bit of everything” which would allow us to sample several meats and sides. Then we were told they were out of ribs, chicken, and sausage. Needless to say, we were disappointed after spending so much time looking at the menu.
The brisket and turkey we got tasted ok, but were a bit dry, like it had been under a heat lamp too long. The beans n rice was a bit salty. They brought all the food to the table except the fries. When the fries were ready, they sat on the counter until we got up to get them. On the way out, we asked when they would have more ribs, and were told next week.
We have heard so many good things about this place, so we will try again. Maybe next time we will go earlier in the day when the food is fresher.

Everything we ate was DELICIOUS! The service was EXCELLENT! We really enjoyed their on-tap craft-style sodas. For what you get, the prices are reasonable. If you sign up for their loyalty program, you get a VERY generous gift for your birthday. We had brisket, pork ribs, their special corn, Mac and cheese, and their fries which are cooked in TALLOW; I can’t even explain what a game changer that is for fries. And for dessert, a special creation: fried bread pudding with an amazing blackberry sauce. The only thing that could have made that better would be a little side of vanilla ice cream. Live secular music isn’t my thing, but if you like it, it’s there for you. We sat inside, which was pretty quiet considering the party in the backyard. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit there and hope to go again next time we get to Lake Charles.

The food was absolutely perfect. I got brisket, pulled pork and beef sausage links. Brisket was juicy, pork was tangy, but not NC tangy, juicy with a hint of heat, the sausage was amazing. My daughter’s pulled pork nachos were awesome! My wife got a smoked cheeseburger, you could see the dang smoke ring in the burger. Only thing that wasn’t perfect…the chairs were a tad uncomfortable.

Hands down the best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had. Juicy, tasty and just so easy to eat. I had it with corn and fries, plus a fantastic root-beer.
Paul’s is an all American BBQ joint. Great ambiance. I would love to try the table top on your own private grill s’mores.

Traveling from Texas and stopped in here last night for dinner, the staff was incredibly helpful and courteous as it was our first time there and in Louisiana! Though we came 10 minutes before closing. They happily assisted us with ordering and offered us extra condiments and their delicious barbecue sauce! We will not forget this place and look forward to stopping in again. If not on this trip then the next one!

I was in on Saturday. The staff was cheerful. My first visit left me not sure what to try. My wife chose the brisket and I chose a grilled burger. The 2 thin slices of brisket with a $2.50 upcharge, was not bad. The very small burger pad was black and little. The only condiments were onion and tomato slices. It was dry and overcooked. I was really disappointed. The prices were not cheap.
