Hunan East is an establishment! It is my favorite go to a spot in all of Richmond for comfort Chinese food! I’m carrying out or dining in, the staff is always so lovely and welcoming! This past time I got the crab wontons, pork low mein, and general Tsos chicken. Everything was absolutely amazing! And the prices are always reasonable.

My wife and I came here for an early dinner. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, 2 shrimp spring rolls, and combination lo mein. Everything was fresh and very good. The atmosphere here was good. They only so their buffet for lunch on Thursday and Friday, but we were not disappointed at all. The staff was attentive and friendly. I recommend coming here for delicious food any time.

I have to say the staff did an excellent job. I had a large party of 50 people, and we enjoyed the buffet. For the amount of people they did awesome. The food was very good. Prompt with the drink refills. My first time there and left happy.

Ordered take out tonight and it was delicious. Order was ready quickly as well. The hot and sour soup was a bit bland compared to some others I’ve had but still good if you like hot and sour soup! Beef with broccoli was a standout. Haven’t dined in there because it’s right up the road so we opt to eat at home. Given how close it is to us will continue to order from them. Really can’t complain about anything just wanted to give a detailed review. I reserve 5 stars for knock your socks off spectacular but seriously this is solid grub. Really this is 4.5 stars. Thank you to the staff for your service

I usually order the shrimp egg foo young. It is always cooked just right. The egg is fluffy and not over fried and the gravy is smooth and well flavored and mixed vegetables are always good and cooked just right and reasonably priced!

Came here for lunch (dined in). Ordered the Kung Pao chicken which came with fried rice and also an option for soup or egg roll. In this case I had the wonton soup. The Kung pao chicken was tasty and the wonton soup was also delicious. On Thursdays and Fridays they have lunch buffet for like $14. Otherwise the regular lunch special is about $11-12 per person
