Social Profile:

Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta had a humble beginning back in 1984 on a busy street corner in downtown Denver Colorado. Our pizza by the slice quickly became a local favorite with the lunch crowd, and the rest was history. For over 35 years Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta has grown to serve our original pizza recipe across the front range. With simple, high-quality ingredients, we serve hand-crafted pizza, made from scratch daily. Choose from fresh toppings to customize your pizza, and while you’re here, enjoy crisp made-to-order salads, hot hero sandwiches, classic Italian pasta dishes, or even a mouth-watering appetizer or dessert. Order online for delivery and carryout or come dine-in with us and find out why we’re known as the OG of Colorado pizza.

Local counter-serve chain that’s a take-out/delivery staple for NY-style pies & other Italian eats.

Honestly, talk about a total 180 degree turn.

I went from ranting and raving about this location, and was a consistent customer, whether it be through a lunch that Anthony’s catered, my girlfriend and I coming in, my solo ventures, or going there with my friends, I was consistently here for the last 5 years.

I highly doubt I’ll be returning to this location anytime soon after my last experience.

In saying that, I understand everybody has off days; life happens. However, based on the way the pizza delivery individual and then the owner conducted themselves left a sour taste in my mouth.

In the delivery instructions, we asked for the driver to please knock on the door upon arrival. They didn’t, ok no big deal.

Upon picking the pizzas up from the dirty concrete breezeway, we opened the Sicilian pizza to see it had been placed upside down . Really?

My mom called to complain, rightfully so. She did so calmly, and was merely stating what happened, when the owner quite rudely interrupted her when my mom mentioned the Sicilian style pizza, talking over her and letting her know that it had a different name now, and was no longer the Sicilian style pizza, but I believe the “thick crust pizza”.

I feel that the way that this delivery had been handled was more important than arguing the semantics of the name of the pizza, but I digress.

I forgot to mention, this was all on my birthday. I don’t like to make a big deal of it, but spending time with my family on my birthday means a lot to me, as my mom works 70 hours a week minimum, so for her to be able to see me was a blessing marred by unprofessional conduct.

I really hope this place turns around, as I WAS a fan of this establishment, but I doubt I’ll be back and will certainly not be recommending it anymore.

I hope this review finds you well, thank you for your time.

I have to say I have come here plenty of times before, but today the atmosphere was different. It was cleaner, employees were attentive and working, and the pizza was fresh. Not sure if they have new management, but it’s working. I have always liked Anthony’s, but today it was the hottest and freshest slices I’ve had since highschool. (….2005 and don’t tell anyone… Lol) Really good fresh pizza and I will definitely be back.

Great little pizza place. Old-school pizza place vibes for those with any kind of pizza nostalgia lol

Friendly staff, great pizzas tossed by hand in front of you. Came here a couple years ago and we so good we made it a point to come back now that we’re back in Denver again. Love it.

First time trying this place – staff was helpful and friendly. We ordered a large pizza and garlic bread. The garlic bread was so good – so light & fluffy. The pizza was delicious and huge (much bigger than I thought it would be).

We’ve been ordering from Anthony’s pizza for years and it’s been consistently great. Tonight we ordered delivery via the Slice app and had a pretty bad experience. The pizza arrived cold, very burned and one of the slices was missing sauce and mozzarella. We requested a refund and were told the best they could do is 50% off our next pizza. We paid $20.00 for a 12 inch cheese pizza that we ended up throwing away.

The pizza was fabulous but the service was lacking. I was ordering and the guy left me to take pizza to the woman in the corner. I’m handicapped with a child and he makes me walk up to the counter and carry my own pizza. The table was dirty and so were the benches. We had to clean off our own. This was so disappointing because this is my favorite pizza place. I wanted to give them a 5 star rating but they didn’t deserve it today.

Shame on me for thinking I could get a decent pizza delivered. Instead I got a luke warm pile of souce and crust. The little cheese there was had melted to the foil they used to “keep it warm”. The pizza was cut into absolutely huge slices. So large that costco is probably jealousy. Oh! And of course to top it all off the crust was burnt. At least my trash can will eat well tonight. I would avoid getting anything delivered from here. I will definitely be skipping going here anytime soon. Its expensive and the quality is just terrible.

My pizza was undercooked which happens frequently. I mentioned I was gonna have a beer with my pizza when I arrived and nobody said we don’t have beer for some silly reason. It hasn’t been delivered yet this week. I’m so tired of their inadequacies. I think I’ll try Stefano’s around the corner. I hear really good things about them
