It’s a little shack along the side of the road on the way to the bird preserve but the food was surprisingly good and very affordable. I had the fish and shrimp plate (Plato combinado pescado y camarones) which was a bargain at $12: three fillets of fish and a half dozen shrimp (I had already eaten most of them in the picture) over a bed of Spanish rice plus French fries, a tiny salad, and two slices of toast. It was fried perfectly. So if you don’t mind eating fried fast food on styrofoam, it’s great!
We had 8 people and they whipped up our food right away in about 25’. It all looked cooked from scratch.
There’s no place to sit, but walk across the street and admire the shady garden decorated with flamingos, toucans, and macaws. We took our food to the Salineño Wildlife Preserve down the road and ate in the viewing area watching the mobs of birds at the feeders. We then went down by the Rio Grande River.

This is a food truck. Cash only. I had the Mexican plate ($10) and it was outstanding! You can call your order in, but they only speak Spanish. No tables. Take out only.
