Reviews
The place is exceptionally clean, which is honestly rare for an Indian restaurant, and it really makes a difference. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, and the service was attentive and professional.
Reservation is highly recommended, especially in the evening, as the restaurant fills up quickly.
We’ll definitely be coming back.
Every dish I tried I wanted to delete my taste buds. The creators of this place can make the dish look Indian but simply cannot make the taste feel the same.
However in the midst of its dining stupidity, the ambience and service remained acceptable. The servers were polite and the dishes were served warm.
But that does not justify the misrepresentation of Indian food. You don’t go to a Korean restaurant asking for different flavours, you don’t go to a Pizzeria for a croissant, neither should you go to an Indian restaurant expecting European food.
There exists this beauty of this cuisine, a balance between spices that edges on spicy yet understands restraint. This can be acceptable for all taste buds and this kind of food does exist in Paris, just not at Dehli bazaar.
Also Indian people, please do not go here just because it has Dehli in its name, doesn’t make it Indian food. Go to Khajuraho if you guys want real Indian food.
We tried a chicken and rice dish (Biryani) served in a very unique cooking pot covered with a layer of dough. When the waiter opened this ‘bread lid’ with a knife, an incredible aroma filled the air. It’s a must-order! The staff was extremely kind and helpful, even though we don’t speak much English and were beginners with this type of cuisine.
We also had a lamb main course—classic, tender, and very flavorful. However, the absolute highlight was the fried cauliflower served with a pumpkin puree. I don’t usually eat cauliflower, but this dish was stunning. My partner and I were speechless; you would never expect such an incredible flavor from a pumpkin cream!
I also suggest trying the cheese sauce found at the end of the menu. It provides a wonderful contrast to the heat of the spices, creating a perfect balance in every bite.
Highly recommended, but make sure to book in advance! They have two sittings (7:00 PM and 9:00 PM) and both are always packed, with people queuing outside.
The naan had a nice flavor, but it was almost cold when served, I can feel it was not freshly made. Most of the other dishes were also lukewarm, except for the fried onions and the butter chicken. Since everything came out very quickly, it felt like many dishes had been prepared in advance.
Personally, I’m not a fan of that approach. For example, the chicken tikka was quite dry when served, I don’t know it was heated for how many times. Some dishes like grilled chicken, grilled cheese, or naan don’t really hold up well if they’re pre-cooked and served lukewarm.
It sells meat, fish and vegetarian options
I choosed to try different small dishes
Dahi Puri
Pakora Oignon
Bay Bhaji
Chicken 65
I recommend the most the dahi puri 🙂
