The Seafood Ristorante launched in March 2017. Located in an iconic glass box perched over a cliff side on top of the North Sea its one of Scotlands premium dining venues. We use locally sourced and sustainable produce, supplied fresh twice daily, to create our beautiful and delicious plates which are elevated with an inspired Italian twist relating to the owners family background.
Local Scottish seafood served with an Italian twist in a modern setting with 360-degree sea views.

I feel like there isn’t much to say—the food is simply incredible. This has become my “treat yourself” go-to place in St Andrews whenever I want something a bit more special.
The dishes are always creative, fresh, and of the highest quality. A special mention to their freshly baked bread at the start of the meal; it’s absolutely delicious and something I always look forward to. Having visited two or three times now, the experience has been consistently wonderful every single time. Highly recommended.

This was the BEST meal we had on our week-long trip thru Scotland! Would happily come back again. Service was spectacular, great atmosphere and views, perfectly seasoned and cooked food. Highly recommend the white curry scallops (WOW! Have never had scallops with that kind of flavor) and crab spaghetti.

I was at The Seafood Ristorante today for the first time. The setting is lovely, offering stunning sea views whilst you eat. The food was amazing, and there were great wine choices. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend.

We always love visiting the Seafood restaurant. Food is consistently good. I’ve never had a bad dish.
Really high quality seasonal ingredients cooked well. No pretentious drama with foams, essences, dry ice etc. The food doesn’t need that, it speaks for itself.
If you haven’t visited before the view is stunning, right on the water.
The staff are excellent, they always give 5 star service that is seamless. We always look forward to returning, it’s fast becoming our favourite restaurant.

One of the classic fine dining spots of St Andrews and has been for 15 years plus!
Perched in a modern glass cube over the ocean, it has stunning sea views and super modern decor.
The food is delicious- they offer a set menu for lunch which is usually worth doing (significantly cheaper than a la carte and just as delicious). Great ingredients, cooked simply but with flair and attention to flavour.
We had a heritage tomato salad with goats cheese stuffed courgette flower, and confit sea trout in a seafood bisque. Amaaaaazing.
Service is friendly and informed – great advice on wines and friendly ambience.
Perfect for a special occasion.

The restaurant itself has a beautiful location by the sea, and I imagine is a very romantic date night spot. We saw the high recommendations, and decided to stop here for a late lunch. Staff seemed annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation, and overall service was quite slow.

Despite being lunch time we were only provided the dinner menu and its associated surcharge. Maybe you’re paying for the view? The best thing I ordered was the caviar. I would consider dining again to give it another chance, but wouldn’t recommend to others based on our first experience.

This was our first visit to the Seafood Ristorante and it won’t be our last. The service was second to none, the food was easily up with the best me and my wife have ever had and to be honest given all that, the value was outstanding. If you want some of the finest seasonal seafood, cooked to perfection by the sea, then go to the Seafood Ristorante in St Andrews.
