First time visit. Came by for a random dinner after seeing the reviews and was quite happy I did. Here is why:
– Seafood was quite fresh and all the dishes tasted delicious
– I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the Seaweed Salad and the sushi wrapped in cucumber
– Service was attentive and friendly
– Even noticed the Owner/Chef walking around and speaking with customers with a big smile
*Will definitely visit again*

A very good Japanese restaurant. Quite popular so would recommend making a reservation. They have some creative items on their menu like sushi tacos with custom taco shells which are pretty neat. Otherwise the sushi rolls were good but standard. The Chirashi was above average with lots of fresh fish and plated beautifully. The assorted tempura was also above average and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have their own style of oyster Motoyaki which has spinach which is different from other restaurants.

Both food and service here are amazing! My partner got the fall special dinner, and I got the Misso Ramen, I can’t stress enough how delicious everything tasted (so much so that I forgot to take pictures of half of the items on the fall dinner).

This restaurant was busy on Saturday when we went and we had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated for four. I’m so glad that they still had bento boxes evening during the weekend lunch hour and the bento boxes came with not only the main, but also two pieces of tempura, 4 pieces of sushi, salad, miso soup, sunomono salad with a piece of shrink, and one slice of orange. It was a great deal and lots of food for under $20. They also had small portion options for less than $10 and it was nice just to try out the different foods on offer at the restaurant. There is plenty of parking as it’s located in a plaza. Presentation of the dishes was beautiful and service was courteous and prompt. Be sure to go before the staff starts taking their lunches around 2:30 pm.

I LOVE this place so much! I’ve been here a lot of times, and each time I’ve had a wonderful experience. Food is beautifully presented, service is exceptional, place is cozy and spotlessly clean, and most importantly the food tastes AMAZING! It’s always fresh and made with high quality ingredients. Their menu features variety of dishes that are creative and innovative. Whenever I want some sushi, this place is the first one that comes to my mind. I can’t wait to go back and have some more!

Kosho Sushi is a pretty good Japanese restaurant. I went there for dinner and ordered the Ika Sugata Yaki with the Unagi Kyuri Sushi roll. The Ika Sugata had a unique texture and taste to it while also being awfully chewing to consume. The sushi was pretty great and saw no problems from eating it.
The restaurant had a modern touch to its countenance while having some oriental décor inside. The service was very nice. When they first serviced me they offered me tea, but I declined.
This is a great Japanese restaurant that I would not mind going back to if I am in Coquitlam again.

You wouldn’t have guessed that this little gem tucked in a quiet plaza would have such impressive sushi and omakase! Thank you Frank and Katherine for your fantastic hospitality! Everything from the food, presentation, and service was absolutely phenomenal! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Port Coquitlam!
The chef was such a delight to meet! You could tell that he cares deeply about his dishes as everything we ordered through the omakase was amazing and he was just so positive in all our interactions!
Seriously, this place deserves to go viral – and I highly agree with another reviewer on here that said that this place should be more like a fine dining restaurant. Superb everything.
I will be dreaming about the beef foie gras tataki and the scallops for the next couple of weeks.
