A place I’ve been wanting to try for quite some time. I finally decided to pull the trigger while the family (picky eaters) was off doing something. With that said, I completely forgot we are in the middle of Ramadan until after I had ordered and was about to be served. Everyone was extremely kind and never mentioned a thing about it, but man did I feel bad about not respecting the culture. You guys have my sincerest apology and thanks for your service.
The food was delicious. Ordered the kabli palau and garlic naan. The flavors were great. For those that have never had Afghan foods, it definitely borrows on some of the neighboring palates, but has a flavor profile to itself. This is a GREAT place to see what it’s about. Prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes.
Again thank you for the hospitality. I will be back to try some kabob in the future. Many thanks!

The food here was amazing! We tried both breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. The parathas and chai in the morning had a great, authentic taste, and the tikka, Kabuli pulao, and chapli kabab at dinner were excellent. The customer service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

FRESH FOOD QUALITY. The taste is phenomenal… I felt the authenticity of the spices very clearly. Here for a 3 day trip, will have 3 meals at-least b4 I leave. Great traditional Persian food taste.

Afghan Village Restaurant & Afghan Halal Market is absolutely amazing! The food is authentic, fresh, and full of rich Afghan flavors. The kebabs are perfectly cooked, the rice is fragrant, and the portions are very generous for the price. Everything tastes homemade and high quality. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the place is clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for real Afghan halal food with great service and fair prices, this is the best spot. Highly recommended definitely coming back again!

It was my first time here, I’ve always wanted to try their food. So I finally stopped by and will add this restaurant to my dinner rotations. It was so good! I absolutely loved their bread. It was fresh, warm, fluffy and had a crisp to it. The server was really nice and welcoming. 🙂

This place is delicious. We had never had this type of cuisine and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend it. It also has a store in the back with lots of unique items to San Antonio. I had the lamb and my husband had a chicken fish, both great. The bread they deserve is also really good.
