We found it!!! Best Reuben sandwich in the Roanoke area. Meat was tender & fell apart. Both sides of the bread were crispy. Perfect ratios of toppings. The view was relaxing looking at the lake & our server Jessie was the bomb. She took such excellent care of us we would have thought we were the only ones in there although the place was packed. The girl can hustle. Thank you Jessie for such a fantastic lunch experience. Well worth the drive from Roanoke.

I would love to give Moosie’s a better review because we have been coming here for years. However, today was such an utterly disappointing visit, all due to their hostess. We can in with 3 adults and 1 toddler (1 yr old) and they sat us at a 3 person table and wanted to stick the high chair on the corner of a square table where she wouldn’t have been able to get close enough to eat and if she threw herself forward for any reason, she could seriously injure herself. So we explained that to her and asked for a bigger table that would accommodate the high chair. The hostess then decided she was done with us, set the menus down on a different table and walked off. We had to get the high chair and move some chairs around, not a big deal.
The hostess then continued to run her mouth under her breath while seating others near us and would stand in the main area staring and giving us dirty looks and glaring. All because we wanted our toddler to be able to eat her lunch at the table in a safe area.
I will say the waitress was wonderful. But it is very disheartening to have that be the face of your business and her attitude be the first thing people with kids experience when they enter the facility.
Unfortunately the food was not up to par either, our food came out with what I thought was a hair on it but turned out to be mold growing on my food. (See picture below)
I don’t think we will be returning anytime soon.

We arrived at Moosies by boat. There was a minimum wait time. We had 7 people in the dinner part. The service was very slow. The Waitress was very nice, but they seemed to be very understaffed. So everything took alot of time. Getting drink order taken. Getting our drinks. Having the order taken and receiving our food. The food was all very food. We were completely understanding that the waitress and bar staff didn’t have enough help.

Went there a while ago, good food and a great atmosphere being near Smith Mountain Lake. Servers were friendly and food was served quickly. Recommend for anyone wanting to grab a bite to eat in the SML area.

My mushroom and Swiss burger was juicy and fantastic! The fries were hot and crispy! Our server was friendly and efficient.

A fun place overlooking the marina at Bridgewater Plaza. Extensive Northeast style menu with items like liverwurst, Monte Cristo and roast beef dip sandwiches.

Best deli and bar in the region. After eating half my Ruben, I had to take pics and post the latest menu. If you ever get near Smith Mountain Lake – Bridge Water Plaza, on 122, go here! Been going for about 20 years and the deli is still the best for many miles. I drive from Roanoke 40 min. to get an awesome deli meal. Try it!
