The wiener schnitzel was great. Puffy, crisp, well seasoned. I really liked how there were 2 given toppings with this selection, and I think I preferred the sweet one, but just barely. The savory one was great too, maybe a 60-40 split. You can’t go wrong. The potato salad was quite unique. I don’t think I have ever had one like that. The potatoes were nicely tender, and the chives added nice color, but I’m not sure something felt like it was lacking. They just didn’t stand out as much as the schnitzel and toppings to me, but don’t get me wrong 5, it was still quite nice, just certainly not the star, and I’d certainly request to change it out for a different side that they have such as the buttered potatoes. The beer was also good, but I would have taken a larger option if they had one! 30cl is just not enough!
Overall, I left feeling full and satisfied. The hefty price tag makes me a bit less likely to come back so quickly, but I hope to be able to dine here again. Thank you for such good service, food, and experience!
The Wiener Schnitzel is delicious! I also love the Salzburge Nockerl (Soufflé), very tenderly and scrumptious! The resto is nicely decorated and feel cosy and relaxing! Booking is recommended!
Once we ordered, we were served a basket of bread and butter. At first this seemed like a nice complimentary gesture, but we later discovered on the bill that it was charged — €4.50 per person for one pot of butter and two pieces of bread. If something is meant to be an extra charge, it should be communicated before serving it. If you offer it without saying anything, it shouldn’t come as a surprise on the bill. It felt overpriced and disappointing.
We ordered two schnitzels cooked in clarified butter — they were very good. For sides, we chose boiled potatoes and potato salad. The boiled potatoes were tasty, while the potato salad was quite vinegary and a bit particular. Also, the choice of side dishes is quite limited.
The restaurant gets busy in the evening, so I recommend making a booking.
I would recommend this place for the quality of the food, but be aware of the extra charge for the bread and butter (€4.50 per person).
I travel quite often and have been to many restaurants, but I have never seen such terrible service and attitude anywhere else. Schnitzel was very tasty, I especially advise you to take berry jam as a side dish. But the bad attitude towards the guests was interrupted even by the fact that the food was delicious.
There were three of us girls and as soon as we sat down at the table, they brought us two baskets of bread and two mini plates of butter (as in all restaurants, this is considered a compliment), but not in this one! The waitress brings us the bill and I see some 3 articles in the second line, although we didn’t order anything for three articles. And I call her and ask what are the three articles with a sum of 13.5€. She started saying that it was bread and butter, I told her that we didn’t order it and she brought it to us as a compliment. She says «no, everything is written in the menu» and shows the last line on the last page with this bread. But the very fact that we didn’t order it and it was added to our bill and the fact that she counted three breads, and brought two breads and butter for one basket of bread it’s such a pathetic and absurd restaurant, and the waitress is just disgusting.
I don’t advise anyone to go there if you don’t want to spoil your mood with bad people!
(I’ll add a photo with the last line in the menu and a receipt)
Wiener Schnitzel are huge so come hungry.
We came for their specialty, the Salzburger Nockerl (soufflé based dessert). Eat this fresh! Also be careful the plate is hot as it’s baked in it.
The small size for 1 can easily feed 2 people. It is expensive for €17 but is delicious.
During dinner time there is a cover charge for €4.50 per person, which includes bread basket with butter and cream cheese.
