Ran in for a quick meal before a movie across the street, and was excitingly surprised! We each had the three taco platter and were able to choose three out of there maybe dozen tacos. I had the tilapia, barbacoa and the chorizo/steak. Each was excellent! And the side of cilantro rice was very, very good. Absolutely will go back especially when I can try some of their signature cocktails.

Understaffed! After our meal we waited 30 minutes for our check. We saw at least 6 groups of people leave due to the long wait.
We ordered the fajitas ($18.99) and a chicken chimichanga ($13.99).
The prices are high but the portion sizes very large. The chimichanga was average, the cilantro rice was not good.
The salsa roja was spicy (which was great) however some of the chips were stale.

Barbacoa tacos and the unique Cubano taco were flavor highlights. The creamy chicken and pastor tacos were fine but we enjoyed the barbacoa and Cubano more. Burritos were huge and heavy. They forgot my fries but proactively issued a refund to my GrubHub order which was nice too.

My husband and I stopped here on our quick stop into Elgin for then night. We each chose three different street tacos – they were all delicious! The salsa verde was so yummy with our chips before the meal came out. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick delicious dinner!

The service was great. Carmina was fiesty and fun, often joking with our large group from the office. I had a raspberry mojito and it was perfect. I heard lots of comments that people were happy with their meals and that is not always easy with a large group. The chips and salsa are delicious.

Good food, very good selections. I’m vegetarian and had multiple choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. They also have an excellent collection of tequilas and great mixed drinks. If gourmet street tacos are what you are looking for, this is the spot for the area.

One Star – Discriminatory and Dangerous Behavior
I had an extremely disturbing experience at this restaurant. What was supposed to be a simple night out drinking turned into a traumatic event when a Black customer was falsely accused of battery assault without cause or evidence. It was clear from the way staff treated them that racial profiling was at play.
Instead of resolving the situation professionally, the staff escalated things unnecessarily, creating a hostile environment. The management failed to de-escalate and showed zero accountability for their actions. Discrimination has no place in any business—especially one that claims to serve the public.
If you’re looking for a safe and respectful dining experience for everyone, I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. No one should be treated the way that customer was simply because of the color of their skin. With times like these us black and brown should be more united. Not turning on each other like that. I would never spend a dime here again. & if you support this racist place shame on yourself.

Very flavorful, fresh, and variety of options. Tacos were delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about them. Don’t forget to order fried ice cream for dessert!!
