Had a lovely experience at Chaska. Went for dinner with my partner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food was delicious and came out fast. We throughly enjoyed the tamarind margarita, spiced old fashioned, lamb curry special and and saag paneer. Everything was excellent and we will definitely be back!

This place has a colorful and modern interior.
The menu had the classic dishes I’d expect to see. I was greeted warmly and checked in by my server multiple times during my meal. I started with the samosa chaat. It was flavorful and crunchy and I really enjoyed it. For my entree, I went with chicken tikka masala. My server checked to make sure it didn’t have tree nuts (I’ve been other places that use cashews and I have an allergy). I also got some garlic cilantro naan. The naan was pillowy soft, large, and delicious. The tikka masala comes with your choice of white or brown rice. I would have liked to have seen butter chicken on the dinner menu as well. There were several specials available and enough variety on the menu that I think everyone could find a dish they liked (soup, salads, lots of types of naan). This was a great meal and I’m looking forward to eating here again.

I attended Chaska when I was in Rhode Island. I went early around 3pm where it was not too crowded. The decorum of the restaurant was really pretty. I took lots of photos. I ordered vegetarian dishes and naan. I eat tons of Indian food across the country. The food is fair at Chaska. It.was spicy and more on the heavier side than what I am used to. Also, out of all the silverware in the container I found only 1 clean fork. The other utensils had smudges and I did not trust that they were freshly cleaned. But overall, I enjoyed my time at the restaurant eating and people watching.

We tried the Chicken 65, Chicken Biryani, and Lamb Rogan Josh. The Chicken 65 was overly salty, and the Chicken Biryani had dry, crunchy rice — likely from being burnt at the bottom of the pan — which made it hard to enjoy. The Lamb Rogan Josh was good, but not memorable. The ginger lemonade felt overpriced for what it was. Overall, it’s likely a one-and-done for us — not terrible, but not compelling enough to return.

We stopped by Chaska for lunch today, and before diving into the food, it’s worth noting the prime location—nestled in Garden City Center, surrounded by charming shops and seasonal decor. There is parking, and the space itself is clean, modern, and stylish, outdoor seating and a large window offering a peek into the kitchen.
The service was exceptional—professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, while my colleague chose the Chicken Karahi. Both dishes were presented beautifully and packed with flavor. We also tried their clam chowder with a coconut curry twist—a unique and pleasant surprise that blended New England comfort with Indian flair.
Overall, Chaska delivers a refined and contemporary take on Indian cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone seeking bold flavors in a vibrant, welcoming setting.

Chaska is a modern take on an Indian restaurant.
The ambience at this place is truly stunning—modern, stylish, and perfect for a night out or special occasion. From the lighting to the music to the presentation, they’ve nailed the aesthetics. Service was hit and miss with some staff being quite friendly and some being obnoxiously condescending. THe overall vibe made a great first impression.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the same standard. Aside from one lamb kebabs that stood out, most of what we tried felt underwhelming. The flavors just weren’t there—it wasn’t even a case of being too mild; it felt like the spices and seasonings that usually define Indian food were missing altogether.
I really wanted to like it more, and I appreciate the effort to modernize Indian cuisine, but if you’re going for bold, authentic flavor, this might not hit the mark. Hoping they tweak the recipes a bit, because the place has a lot of potential.
Plenty of free parking in the lot nearby.

My wife and I have enjoyed coming to Chaska for several years now. Chaska has the hardest working and caring staff of any restaurant that we know of. The food is consistently great. If we are treating friends to dinner, we know that Chaska will not disappoint even for people that are not used to Indian cuisine. Most dishes are approachable for people looking to explore these flavors. They’ve also been incredibly accommodating of our one year old son even since he was a newborn. The drinks are flavorful and creative. Their summer patio seating is very quiet and relaxing compared to other restaurants. I can’t say enough good things about Chaska.

Seriously?! Is this place even real? Yes it is! My wife and I were in Cranston and she found this gem of a restaurant. We love good Indian cuisine and decided based on the reviews to give it a whirl. To call this place good would be an insult to them. To say our total experience was great wouldn’t be giving it the credit it deserves either. Everything about it: the atmosphere, the service, and the food was phenomenal. The best Indian food I’ve ever had has been in London which is known for it. New York has several great Indian restaurants as well but no joke this might be the most flavorful Indian cuisine I’ve ever tasted. The garlic naan, shrimp appetizer, and the chicken kabob had incredible flavor with or without the accompanying sauces. The staff couldn’t have been any kinder and more accommodating. Our host knew his stuff and made a great recommendation on my chicken dish which is located on the top right hand corner of the menu. I am sorry I can’t recall the name but my tastebuds won’t soon forget. I wish these wonderful folks would open up a location near us! We will definitely be back soon and will recommend it to family, friends, and strangers. Thank you for a wonderful time!
