A Sweet Secret for Family Meals. Something for Everyone. Decent Portions of Flavorful Food and Very Reasonable Prices. Plus young children are welcomed. The waitresses are all kind and patient. We were not rushed and It Was Clean!

Was finally able to try the Pinwheel in Essex and boy… it did NOT disappoint! I grew up in the apartment building, so I was excited to see how they repurposed the Cody’s space. The decor, the energy, the design of the menu, the servers and the delicious food… everything was amazing!! We will absolutely be back. Bravo to the owners, well done

Fabulous brunch at The Pinwheel with a group of friends (and a little one). Everyone cleaned their plates – and as a bonus the menu is huge so tons of options available. Service was so great felt like a family atmosphere. Will definitely return (in fact, I think a couple of those in our party returned the next weekend!!)

What a great way to start the day! Delicious homemade cooking’!
Started with a pinwheel and robust coffee. The special omelette was savory! The waffle with fresh berries and homemade whipped cream was wonderful!

First time visiting The Pinwheel in Essex Junction and I enjoyed my breakfast.

There was about a 20-minute wait this particular morning, which honestly felt like a good sign and it moved along smoothly. Once seated, the ambiance was warm, cozy, and welcoming perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch spot. The space has a friendly neighborhood vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your meal.

The service was excellent. My server, Sarah B., was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was just right without being overbearing. As a first-time guest, I really appreciated how smooth and welcoming the experience felt.

For food, I ordered the Focaccia Melt – $11 with tomato, spinach, cheddar, and basil mayo. I added an egg (+$2) and avocado (+$3.75), and it was absolutely worth it. The focaccia was perfectly toasted, the ingredients were fresh, and the combination of flavors was balanced and satisfying. The egg added richness, and the avocado was creamy and generous.

On the side, I had the hashbrowns ($3.50), which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside exactly how hashbrowns should be.

To drink, I ordered a hot chai tea latte with almond milk ($4.50). It was warm, flavorful, and not overly sweet great pairing with breakfast.

Overall, The Pinwheel delivered great food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I’ll be back to try more of the menu. I recommend if you’re in the Essex Junction area looking for a solid breakfast spot!

Our first time here and it was a hit for us ! The fruit plate is spectacular and only $6.00 !! See photos . My cousin had an omelette and I had scrambled eggs and an English muffin . Muffin had plenty of butter on it which I appreciated. Food was tasty and loved the atmosphere.

Excited to try a new spot for breakfast. Wanted to try something new so I ordered a waffelini (I think that’s what they called it), which was a crispy waffle with apple and cheese in it. I will say the menu did not list that there would be a sauce on top, and I think it distracted from the waffle a bit. It was almost savory like a BBQ sauce, which was confusing. I double checked the menu and no sauce was listed on this item.

Loved it otherwise, eggs were yummy and the coffee was fine. I wouldn’t order that particular item again but that’s on me for trying things.

The Pinwheel with its western/ cowboy decor and warm yellow walls with sunshine beaming in make for a cozy environment to enjoy their unique and delicious offerings from the kitchen. It’s the service and food that truly shine’s though. All are prepared by a very talented local owner/chef who knows how to create a unique menu with one of a kind plates. I enjoyed a delightful Popover with egg, avocado, feta and smoked salmon. The popover itself was baked with love in their kitchen. Our table also enjoyed a lovely “ waffalini” that was out of this world. There is plenty of parking for easy in and out access. Take my advice, put this restaurant on your must go list!

Passing through on a road trip and we stopped here for breakfast. Excellent food with plenty of tasty and hearty gluten free options for my husband who has celiacs. Grace, our server was so attentive, sweet and kind. We loved the atmosphere! Would highly recommend!

Ordered a sage lemonade mimosa, a biscuit, and a prosciutto brie & honey wafflini. Wanted to try just a couple things as more of a snack to see if still as we remembered from Burlington location. Everything was very good. Biscuit is griddled which my husband loved, still moist inside but a little crisp on the outside for me.
Wafflini was delicious and something you can’t get anywhere else local to my knowledge.

Atmosphere is cute, 90s country and Midwestern mix.

Service was good, no concerns.

Not overly busy at 1pm on Sunday.
Prices were good for a restaurant of this type. Might seem high for some locals but it’s not a chain and cheaper than other local non chains IMO.

We enjoyed this place when it was in Burlington. Much more accessible in it’s new location. Highly recommend trying this place.
