We don’t have Long John’s in our home town anymore. And I have really missed it. The fish and chicken were so good. The fries weren’t good, but everything else was. We will definitely be back while still in town.

Update 5-3-2025.
This visit wasn’t the greatest. Food was well, not good. View the pictures. Not great. Luckily, I stopped to check my order before I left as items were missing. This store use to be very good.

The food was great! The food didn’t have a heavy oil taste as some Long John Silver’s do. We came in around 8pm & some staff saw us enter buy didn’t greet us after we said hello. They yelled for another employee to “get the front”.

Very nice clean A&W. Ordered the Sriracha cheese curds but ended up with regular curds. I wanted curds to begin with so not too disappointed.

This place has gone way down in the last year or so. Went through the drive-thru since they closed the lobby early. I ordered 3 chicken tacos with lettuce. I only received 2 tacos and they had cabbage on them. Ordered a kids meal chicken and add a chicken. Didnt get the added chicken. The hushpuppies were not hushpuppies as you can see in the pic. They were hard, drenched in oil, and barely any breading. I also ordered a large A&W and it tasted flat or diet. Of course stupid me, didn’t check everything until we got home which is 20 mins away. Won’t ever go back to this one! EVER!

Orders were wrong. Manager was rude when trying to explain what was wrong. We never did get all that we ordered. I’ll never return to that LJS again. We waited for ever for our food. Four families that came in after us received there orders before we got the parts of our. Not good management or service at all. Oh yah and the fountain drink for the root beer were both diet. I tried to tell them the regular was diet I was told that can’t happen. What a joke.

It was so bad and it makes me sad!! We ordered 2 combos, but came packaged as 1 which makes a bit difficult to park and eat. The fries were not hot at all and were the consistency of mashed potatoes. Hushpuppies were doughty and not cooked on one side. Drinks were at least an inch below being full. Requested condiments when ordering and at the window, but did not receive them. Pulled back to the window and given packets that had leaked were stuck together with the dried contents.

Ordered hush puppies from Long John silver’s & they melt in your mouth.
The two are combined and we drove thru the drive-thru and got them both at the same window.

I have gone to this Long John Silvers twice in the last week and have received outstanding service both times! I feel terrible because I didn’t ask the first gentleman that helped me what his name was but tonight I had Mustafa help me (Moose). Today was a pretty rough day and he was just so Upbeat and friendly it just made my day!! You are very fortunate to have both of these young men that work for you! Very impressive!!

On 03/18/2025, around 12:10 pm, I clicked on the Google web listing’s “Order Online” option, for the Maize Road location In Wichita, Kansas, which uses DoorDash, so my food would be ready when I got there. I often do this when picking up food from restaurants. When I arrived at the drive-thru at 12:27 pm, they said they hadn’t received the order. I showed them the order on my phone’s DoorDash app, and that I was at the correct location, and I also showed them my GPay receipt confirming the payment had been processed. Regardless, they say that they couldn’t fill my order because they didn’t get it, even though I had the proof. Unfortunately, I couldn’t cancel the order on the app without being charged because DoorDash was showing the restaurant was active and my order had been received and made. I had to contact DoorDash and hassle with getting a refund. Doordash tried to contact the restaurant to troubleshoot, but they wouldn’t answer the phone. I feel like the manager on duty should have honored my order, and the onus was on the restaurant to contact DoorDash to determine what the issue is. Instead, they were rude about it, and she basically said tough luck.
