I had such a great time at Ichiban! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly right in front of us — classic hibachi fun with all the fire and flair you’d hope for. The portions were generous, and everything from the fried rice to the steak and shrimp was spot on.
But the real highlight of the night was our server, Legacy. She was absolutely fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure our drinks were always full and our table had everything we needed. She had a great personality that made the whole meal even more enjoyable. You could tell she genuinely cared about giving us a great experience.
If you’re looking for a hibachi spot with great food and great service, Ichiban is the place to go. And if you’re lucky enough to have Legacy as your server, you’re in for an awesome night!

Food was great. The other good sushi place in town closed down and this is our alternative and it’s a good one. The kids had hibachi and thought it was great.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times and had very good experiences. I went in with my wife and daughter about two weeks ago on a Saturday night. We had a younger cook who Done OK on the quality of food. When he brought the food out, he brought enough food for my order, my wife’s order and my daughter‘s order, but there were two other people at the table with us who had ordered the same types of food. He ended up cooking everything and splitting everything between the five of us and in all my years of Japanese restaurants, we got about a quarter to a3 of the food we normally get. So the way it appears to me, he split the food that he had brought out from my wife, my daughter and myself, and then added the other two couples in and instead of going back to getting the food to prepare for them he just split our meal between all of us so I was extremely disappointed with the amount of food and the service that we received. The food was OK edible at best, but the amount of food was drastically less than I’ve ever gotten at the same restaurant. The waitress did not refill drinks and she did not bring the sherbet that’s required at the end of the meal that my wife and I got I am thoroughly disappointed in the service and the quality of this restaurant on my last visit. It will probably be my last visit to this location or any Ichiban restaurant. For quality Japanese food I will from now on drive to Chattanooga for Hana The amount and quality of food is twice that of this itchy bar location

For Rome, this Restaurant is good. Atmosphere was good. It was a little slow when we came for lunch but it picked up quick. Service was fast and really good. We got the chicken, steak and shrimp hibachi lunch. It came with miso soup or salad. Also ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer.

We went to Ichiban on February 15, 2026 with our Sunday School Class. Food was excellent, the hibachi show was excellent, the staff was excellent, ESPECIALLY our Server who took our orders.

Always enjoy coming to Ichiban. Food and service are always very good. Would have given 5 stars, but the people seated next to us received small scallops that were overcooked. we shared the Salmon (salmon cooked a little too much too, so was little dry) and shrimp meal and they charged the normal $6.50 fee for soup, salad & rice. Meal was $31+ tip and includes sherbet desert. Note – waitress did not come back and check on us for drinks or refills. Frank the chef was good as always. We Will be back

Great food. Just takes a while, same as most ichiban restaurants. I got here frequently. Always leave stuffed! If you want the show expect to wait. Grab a table no as long of a wait.

Another restaurant that my fellow Yelpers reviewed correctly. Listen to the reviews, thats the only warning I have. The first thing the waiter said to us, ” we are busy and short staffed tonight’. I did appreciate the honesty. We should have left, but I had a senior citizen with me. The wait was extremely long for table service on a Saturday night.
Now the unfortunate part about the food. The absolute worst Asian microwave food I have ever eaten. Yes, the meat tasted as if they warmed or cooked via microwave. Our food had a rubbery greasy taste.
The positive part, the waiter was very attentive and kind. It wasn’t his fault that this place is mismanaged. We tipped him properly and vowed never to return. Wasted over $80 of our hard earned money.
The sad part this place had a line literally out the door. ” When you know better you do better”. Traveling has allowed me to have great foodie experiences, and appreciate different cultures. This place definitely wasn’t it.

Very nice show and delicious food. The chef was amazing and so funny. The filet mignon and scallops were. Nicely seasoned and awesome.
Prices were very reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be returning for more.

As someone who has been all over eating sushi and hibachi, I was brought to tears over how good the rolls were at Ichiban. Our waiter was polite and helpful, service was fast, and the food (especially the sushi) was the best I’ve ever had. I’ve found my new favorite sushi place in Rome!
